I appreciate that this rice cooker uses a solid stainless steel inner pot instead of the typical nonstick. It's great knowing that the pot will last much longer, and I don't have to worry about any potential health concerns associated with nonstick coatings. The overall build quality feels quite good. The outer shell is made of metal, so it feels quite durable, and the handles are made of plastic to prevent any accidental burns while the rice cooker is hot. The 14-cup capacity works great for our family of 8. Since I cook 4 cups of rice multiple times a week, I like being able to just throw all the ingredients in the pot and walk away, allowing me to focus on other parts of the meal. The rice came out great: no hard spots, no mushy spots, just well-textured rice. The measurement lines inside the pot are a lot easier to read on the stainless-steel surface compared to the nonstick pots in other rice cookers I’ve used. Additionally, I really like the shape of the included rice scoop. It's shovel-shaped, which makes it easier to get all the way to the bottom of the pot when serving. Finally, I saw some reviews that mentioned the steamer basket feeling flimsy, but I don’t think it will be a problem. It feels very sturdy resting on the pot, and I’m excited to see what I can steam at the same time as the rice is cooking. Read more

Quite pleased with this. Wish my mom had had one when I was a kid, maybe she wouldn’t have burned the rice cooking it on the stove so much. The stainless steel is easy to clean, I like that it also comes with a steamer so you could cook food on top if you want too. I haven’t tried that feature yet. The rice I’ve cooked with it came out perfectly and did not stick (note I do add a tablespoon of cooking oil to the water when I make rice for flavor and to make it easier not to stick). Read more

My first rice maker. Well worth purchasing. Now I can put the rice on to cook and leave the kitchen, not hovering over it to be sure the rice doesn't boil over. Easy to clean up afterwards. Cooks fast. Very durable. Cooks a large enough amount yet doesn't hog the kitchen counter when out. It sticks a little on the bottom and sides but is easy to wash off. Excellent product. I'm very glad I bought it. Read more

Thai product did not cook The rice right since the first time I used it. Unfortunately I don’t cook rice as often in a rice cooker so I didn’t realize it was a product issue until it was too late and now I can’t return it anymore. The first time rice overcooked and it was mushy. Second time it was undercooked. I tried the trouble shooting but that didn’t work either. And this all happened while using their own recipe instructions. I also tried using less water and more when undercooked. Still no luck. So come to find out that the cook and warm button actually doesn’t work. I prepared my rice again, measure everything right., proceded to put the pot in the rice cooker and then press down the cooking button. I stayed in the kitchen watching the rice cooker. Within a few mins the cooking button popped up to warm and stop cooking. The rice was not cooked and a lot of water was still there. I tried pushing the button back down to cook but it continued to popped up. Wish the return policy on this was more than just one month but unfortunately it seems that I’ve lost my money on a defective product. Will not recommend at all. DO NOT BUY IT!! Read more

I should start out by saying I had very high hopes for this product, so that might be why it feels like a tad bit of a disappointment. What I like: - Inner pot where the rice is made is HEAVY DUTY. I feel like I could drop it on a tile floor and the floor would take more damage than the inner pot. It’s got a nice heavy bottom that’s reinforced. - using is very simple. Just one press of a button. - the steamer pot has PERFECTLY sized and spaced holes. You don’t have to worry about anything cut to bite size falling through the holes, but things the size of corn kernels might fall down. I would rule against putting a bag of frozen mixed veggies in as I would worry they might fall into the rice. What I don’t like: - the plastic handles are hollow on the bottom! I had hoped to own this appliance for life, but I worry about the durability of the plastic handles. - the steamer basic is much thinner than the rice pot. Like, it almost bends when pushed on. I’m not a fan of how thin it is. - due to having no non-stick coating, you will have to add more water to keep rice from sticking to the bottom. Not really a bad thing, just something that I noticed will be a learning curve for me. Overall, I don’t think this will replace the steamer basket that I have for using over my stovetop, only because I don’t think that this machine will last long enough to outlive my stovetop steamer. However, this machine is a DREAM when it comes to meal prepping when the meal preps can be made with rice and veggies. Steam those veggies, cook the meat on the stovetop and you’re golden. I would recommend for someone who meal preps, for someone who needs quick rice and veggies, or a student who is low on time. Read more

This steamer is exactly what I was hoping for. I have ready made rice multiple times in the six weeks I've had this and it seems very well made. It is hard to find a steamer that is not, nonstick. You will have rice that sticks and browns a little on the bottom but that is the trade off. It still cleans up easily either in the dishwasher or after soaking and handwashing. I just make sure to keep an eye on my rice and make sure to add a little extra water or even add a little more during if needed, to help the rice not get too dark on the bottom layer. I have used the basket for dumplings and veggies so far, and it is super easy with easy clean up. Read more
