It's OK, but a little expensive.
Let me preface by saying that on their website and documentation they label this as ceremonial, but here on amazon it is labeled as culinary and on the receipt it states culinary. I know that these grades don't do much to distinguish the actual quality of matcha and that its just marketing but it is odd that they can not decide. I bought this matcha because I couldn't find anything online about them and really just wanted to give them a chance because it was from a small business and maybe it was good but its just ok. I think they are too expensive for what you're getting. I drank it straight americano and in terms of profile it kind of coats your tongue in a bitterness, but not in a overwhelming sense, it's just different. In a latte that bitterness comes through more than I would like despite me using more honey that I normally use. In a strawberry matcha, it lacks that natural sweetness im looking for in matcha and it sort of feels thick, but in terms of taste its not bad, the best one out of the three. I am sure thats because I put too much sugar and honey though. The best thing I can say about the matcha is that it looks great, one of the best looking, but when it comes to taste it is just ok and more bitter than i like. The powder is not for me and I would not buy it again. Going by 100 grams this breaks down to about 30-35 dollars or so for 100g which is kind of expensive for what you get. I was just curious on the brand because I could not find anything that talked about them online and I like come to my own conclusion. Read more
