Even when the tea becomes lukewarm, the lotus designs are still pink, even if slightly duller. The rim of the cup also fits the hook for a tea strainer well. The amount of the water I boiled was not enough to fill the mug which created a great test like before / after. ended up giving it as a gift, will buy another one for myself.
