Thanks Amazon, I finally found a snow cover for my 2024 Niro windshield! I tried one of those covers from W-mart that has two flaps that close in the car door to secure it in place. Yes, it covered part of the windshield but allowed snow and ice to collect around the wipers because it did not extend on to the hood. Some covers available have magnets that could attach down to steel hoods but the Niro has a nonmagnetic aluminum hood. Also the flaps that were trapped in the car door allowed water to seep in and run down inside when it rained and soaked the interior carpet-not good. With this product, the elastic straps are adjustable and have decently strong holding power. I just installed this cover at night in very strong wind to test it out and its holding well, barely flapping at all. The straps over the hood attached to the front wheels for a snug fit with plenty of coverage over the wipers. For the upper windshield, I tied the "security" strap into a loop and then ran the elastic strap through the front door handles and attached the hook to the loop. The mirror "mitts" should be good to eliminate frost and snow build up. 5+ star product for my application. Read more

If you’re getting the Silver Glacier “version”, it’s great, I recommend that one. My windshield is always clear after using it, even with a cracked windshield. However the black “version” is not the same product. That one has no insulation and does not keep the windshield from freezing over, it’s only a snow cover. Naturally, I thought the black one was just a different color of the same product, so I got that one since it was cheaper. Turns out it was something completely different. It was a misleading product tied to a good one by talking advantage of Amazon’s product versioning designed for the same product, but a different color or size. They should have two separate product pages for two separate products. I’d update the review of the Silver Glacier cover to 5 stars if the black “version” was given its own product page, and could only recommend that one if you want to save a few bucks and aren’t worried about the windshield freezing over. This is a five-star review for the AstroAI Car Windshield Snow Cover. I've only had this a few weeks but it has surprised me by surviving what it has been subjected to in terms of cold, snow, and wind. When I got it, we had a wind storm coming in with below freezing temps. All day and all night it took 35 mph winds with up to 60 mph gusts. With the higher winds coming from behind, it would lift right up off the windshield and billow like a sail, flap around. I thought it was a goner, figured some neighbor across the valley would find it draped across their car by morning. But it held on for dear life all day and night. Next day I noticed a little tearing beginning at the one seam, so I decided to take it in, rather than just let it be destroyed. And that has been my habit now. For the really strong winds going all day, I take it off. But I was impressed with how it endured that beating it took. It gives me more confidence that it can handle some routine winds. Goes on and off easily. The straps are quite long, and I managed to fit it on an older extra-long minivan, with a very tall windshield. It didn't easily reach the back wheels, but I was able to clip it securely to the edge of the wheel well. And in the front, I found it fit better clipped to a slot in the front bumper, although it also reached the front wheels. Fits great, really covers the wiper/vents slot with some to spare. Nice snug fit. The straps have quite a bit of elastic in them. So in high winds, especially coming from behind, they aren't able to hold it down tight. But that elasticity probably saved the seams from being destroyed. The buckles would also move from the wind. I had to tie the front ones to hold it at its shortest. The cover will lift up and flap in higher winds. Lower winds like 20-30 with gusts to 40 are better. Even with it lifting up, it still kept the snow out of there good, and the hooks have held great. I've had it down to about 5 degrees F with winds tugging at it, and it proved to be very durable. I had my doubts about the plastic straps and hooks, but they seem to handle the cold well. TIme will tell how long it all lasts in the sun. The plastic of the shield also does well in the cold, remaining flexible. Easy to put it on even below 20 F. I try not to move and flex it much below that, but the wind does. After some snow melted on it, some water pooled at the bottom of the windshield, on top of the cover. I found it the next morning frozen into a football shaped chunk of ice. Even at low temps, I peeled it off the cover easily and chucked it aside, and the windshield was free of ice. Cotton lining works well, very smooth. Black plastic heats up in the sun and dries out the edges. I haven't had any problem with it getting seriously frozen to the vehicle thus far, but with enough ice the straps and parts can freeze on. Mirror covers work well and are plenty large. Just shaking them a bit removes the snow and ice from that area. This vehicle has wiper blades that can't easily be brought up, so they become a trap for ice buildup. This windshield cover promises to be a great tool to help reduce that ice buildup - that's why I got it. I figure it should last at least one season, maybe a few, even with the weather here. I've already bought a second one based on how this one performed in the wind, snow, and ice, and very cold temps. Read more
Very nice cover but not wide enough to cover our side mirrors. Read more
Love this product! I can put the windshield cover on by myself in less than 1 minute. It stays in place and covers the whole windshield and the wipers too. The snow just falls off when I remove the cover. I live in a snowbelt state and am using this every day. Highly recommend. Read more
