The media could not be loaded. I got these for my first ever PC gaming setup! As i bought these as starter and on a budget, these monitors have not disappointed at all in the 3 years I have had them. The graphics are good while gaming or streaming something :D It is easy to adjust any monitor settings if you have to and I really love the size of the monitors! I was doing this A TON of reviewing before buying a monitor and finally deciding on this one. To address some other reviews with the bad image quality right out of the box or dead pixels...I don’t have any of that. I think this thing looks perfect right out of the box! I do see I’ll be changing settings depending on the game I’m playing. I do see what some reviewers describe as a glossy or smudged screen look? I guess if you have a window shining on it you’ll notice it more. I honestly don’t have a problem with it unless you really look for it and stare at it. So it’s not as bad as others claim! Games look great on it, G sync compatibility is awesome and the best part it comes with two cables hdmi and display port! Honestly if you were like me Deciding between this and any other monitor, get this!! Been using this monitor for only a day and so far, it looks great. The colors are really vibrant and there is no ghosting at all. When playing a game at crazy high settings, it makes it look very cinematic. Only problem I have is the backlight bleed on the very top of the screen. When I am watching a movie and the black bars are on both top and bottom, the backlight bleed is extremely noticeable. I perhaps mishandled the monitor when unboxing it, or it may have been a factory defect. Nonetheless, it does not affect gaming. It's not a huge dealbreaker for the price. I'm coming from a VA panel, so I have quite high expectations in terms of color reproduction. The blacks are very good, but only from straight on. IPS glow is very apparent from different viewing angles except straight on. For $250, you can't beat it. You get what you pay for. Great budget option. Read more

Great panel quality, minimal back light bleed and IPS glow on right side, not visible at all in pitch black room with very bright settings in normal use. Left side of panel has no glow or bleed. Very acceptable levels, IMO. Seems to be very lag free in the UFO test and in League of Legends. I can't see any blur in either, very responsive panel. The default racing mode seems to look the best out of all the options. I'd try that mode and set the brightness to 21 for a pitch black room, and raise it up to about 30 or so for a room with 1 lightbulb in it. SRGB mode looks good but the brightness is locked to 50 or so and it's too bright. There are a couple with a bright over-saturated look, and a few darker settings for cinema and FPS. This is an IPS monitor. And if you read what they say about the “oily screen” and “Anti glare film that’s over it” it’s true. I only notice this when the background is white such as a word document, google, excel spreadsheet. I didn’t buy this monitor to do work. I have a laptop for a work. You will be very disappointed with the screen if you use this monitor for more than just gaming. However, I returned another ASUS VA monitor for this and the colors are 10x better. I never knew how beautiful games could be (I used to play on a 13” MacBook Pro”. The “oil screen” is NOT noticeable when playing games. I think this is just a Thing with IPS panels. This monitor is exceptional for gaming. The image is bright and colorful and the 144hz refresh rate is really great. The stand is built like a tank and it allows you to rotate tilt and lift the monitor. The stand is also really easy to put on and looks great. The one problem I have with this monitor which isn't really significant at all is that the speakers are terrible and extremely quite. While I doubt that anybody buying a monitor of this price will be using it without headphones or external speakers, it would have been nice to have loud enough speakers for the odd times when I do have to use them because I don't want to wear headphones. I've used this for gaming, schoolwork and watching movies and it all works great. I love how the monitor is able to tilt all ways and is height adjustable. The monitor itself needs to be color calibrated because it looks bad out of the box (Google how to change the color profiles online it was easy for a noob like me ) but after that I found it to be great! The bezels are super thin and this monitor looks sleek despite it being a gaming monitor. I reccomend it especially if it goes on sale! Read more
