I'm starting off this review with five stars because, Hey! I'm a very optimistic person and so (a) it came REALLY fast & well packed; (b) it already smelled wonderful just from opening the lid and was like fresh linen hanging on the clothesline. (FYI: I got 2 of the lemon scented tubs); (c) it was FAR less expensive than some of the competitors were; and (d) it started working in less than 5 minutes after opening the lid! (Went to the bathroom, came straight back into my bedroom, & everything already smelled like the maids had just been here cleaning!) ➡️ I've got terminal, stage 4 (adrenal) cancer with no chance of a cure or survival, but I still get the monthly infusions/treatments to help shrink the tumor some more/get some added comfort from less pressure inside my belly, then let's add my 19 yr old elderly "support cat" that is glued to my hip ALL the time 24/7, and then we're snuggled up together in a fairly large downstairs bedroom/ hallway/private bathroom in my daughters house. (All my cat does is sleep endlessly, like her 'mama!') 😆 There is no window in my room, so it's blissfully - but also eerily, quiet. LOL Anyway, bet y'all can just imagine what "special scents" I'm battling here. My bedroom door is kept closed most of the time as my daughter works from home all day in the adjacent bedroom/office. I scoop the litter 2x - 3x daily, I've done nearly everything and used nearly everything under the stars to keep & kill my personal funky living smells neutralized. I even have the ionic litter box, and a really cool ionic odor eliminator for my bedroom (but has to be recharged every 4 days or so). 😵‍💫. SOOOOO....with the usual fingers crossed and partially bated breath, I hope this is the near-final, ~OR~ ultimate winner; that it will hold-up & last A LOT longer than just a couple weeks like many others I've recently purchased/tried out; and that it will really do the job it "claims" it will! Making matters the ultimate worst, my daughter has Hyperosmia, "which is a disorder that causes an abnormally heightened sense of smell." (We swear she can smell a banana peel from a block away - and it's getting stronger with every birthday that goes by.) "This can make him/her hypersensitive to various scents in their environment, and they may experience discomfort or illness from certain odors," where your sense of smell is like your nose being on steroids ~ times ten!!! 😭 It's awful, and I hate seeing it hit her out of nowhere, when everyone else swears they smell NOTHING offensive in her house. THIS issue will end up being the ultimate test...and if she can still smell anything thru this lemon/charcoal tub, then you KNOW it's an honest review (and, finally some relief for her sinuses too!!) I've nearly run out of options and am close to giving up. At this point, I really HAVE tried almost everything on the market, so if this beats HER nose, I've won!! LOL Well ... no updates here??? It just means this stuff worked great, and I've finally found my satisfingly "perfect product," retaining the same 5⭐️ rating I gave it today. I like this bio-absorbant air purifier, but it definitely needs a little adjustment. With the full lid off, the scent was too strong for my space. After poking a few holes in the lid, it worked beautifully and kept odors under control without being overwhelming. We have an open trash can in my kitchen and you can’t even tell when we’ve just cooked curry. We have another in our son’s diaper pail which keeps his room smelling fresh. Pros: effective odor control (really absorbs odor rather than mask it), lasts around 3 months. Con: scent is overpowering if used exactly as directed. Still a good product and one I’d repurchase; just with the lid modified. Read more

Freshens nicely. Gets allergens, mold particles, and beyond out of the air. I am sneezing less. And breathing better, overall. Great value for the money. Get 2 at a time (for a large studio apt). Or 1 - for every room. Read more

What a waste of money. I put it out on Sunday and by Thursday it was gone. I don’t know what it should have done, but it was totally used up in four days and obviously I’m not going to waste my money again. No change in odor or air quality. Read more

Had smoky items from a relatives house in my garage. Opened this up and there was a huge difference in the smell. Definitely less smoky smell within 24 hours. Read more

It works well in terms of odor elimination. I didn't feel like it had much of a lavender scent after the first few days but it did continue to prevent the bad smells in our bathroom so I liked that. We have a toddler still learning the potty and we keep dirty cloth diapers in this room so the smell can get pretty bad. I didn't like that you take the lid completely off to use the product, it's just open which is not ideal in a room with kids or pets. For the price, I am very happy with how well it worked. I would consider purchasing again. I am probably going to try the other design from the same brand, looks like a square where the filter is covered. Read more
