I'm not in love with the scent, but it is doable. It lingers for awhile, then eventually simmers down. The main thing is that it does create the "beachy waves"- soft but a little rough and crunchy (beach waver products roughen up the cuticle). I tend to use it less for the waves, and more for the added texture and fullness that these products can create. It makes for nice braids, and gives my hair more holding oomph when I pull it up into a bun. Always makes me look and feel like I have more hair than I do. Since the scent doesnt totally gross me out, and that the formula does as written, I think it is a product worth trying. Read more

I absolutely love everything this brand makes. I used to use a beach salt spray by Davines, which made my hair look more voluminous and texturized without feeling crunchy or stiff. It’s pretty expensive, so I was excited to try this one and compare. Other salt sprays I’ve tried tend to leave a ton of buildup in my hair, which weighs it down and makes it hard to brush through. This one is SO GOOD! It smells amazing (slightly perfumey, so if you’re sensitive to fragrances this might be too much for you). Gives my hair lots of texture and hold without feeling too gritty. I love how it has a mattifying effect, but doesn’t end up making my hair look dirty. The less you use the better!! This should last a long time. I like to spray a bit to the underside of my hair as I’m blow drying for extra “oomph” and volume from underneath. My hair feels soft to the touch. Any buildup that occurs with this can easily be removed by using a clarifying shampoo once or twice a week. So far, the pimp hasn’t “gummed up”’or gotten clogged. Totally worth the price. I love the way Authentic Beauty's Beachy Texture spray takes my natural waves to a new level. They go from normal waves to the waves I get after spending the day at the beach. Seeing as I don't live near the beach and don't get there very often, it almost makes me giddy that I can now have proper beachy waves anytime I like without leaving home. The spray can be used on dry or damp hair and can air dry or used with a diffuser. I use it on damp hair that I air dry. A good amount is released, so 4-5 spray's worth is sufficient for my thick, shoulder length hair. Its nice and lightweight. I cannot feel it at all and it does not make my hair hard or crunchy. I can easily run a comb/my fingers through it. Doesn't make hair look or feel oily/greasy. There is a nice, light scent though it fades very quickly . (My hair rarely holds the scent of hair products) I'm thrilled with the results from this texturizing spray. Works beautifully. There is a good reason it is an Amazon Professional Beauty product.
