As other reviews mention, it works really well. Great texture, good volume, and a pleasant—yet very light—scent: all the boxes are ticked for me. However, be extremely careful when you apply this product: the white micro powder STAINS, and this is especially noticeable on black clothing. If you have ever refilled a laser printer cartridge, you know what I mean. Also be careful when you remove the lid (and never do that while wearing black): when the container is shaken, a noticeable amount of powder accumulates between the jar and the lid, so if you open it carelessly… you can imagine the result. This hair powder truly upholds its promise with texturization because it adds grit and hold wherever you apply it. It also says that it can be used as dry shampoo, but it does nothing for my day 2/3 hair oil. It just sits on my roots, no matter how little or how much I apply. So I just use it purely for adding volume to my flat and heavy, coarse hair. There's a slight scent to it that's very obvious during application, but it lightens up by the middle of the day for me. I definitely prefer this over the sea salt sprays that I regularly use. Easier application, better ingredients and I'm not breathing in half of the product. It's expensive for the amount of product you get, but I use so little each time. Only a tiny bit is needed for added volume, because I find that too much gives too much grit. I just sprinkle a tiny bit at my crown and work it in with my fingertips. Voila - instant volume. It's very obvious on my black hair when I put too much of this stuff so I've learned to be lighthanded. And I would not recommend using this on freshly washed hair, but only on dirty hair. It gets tackier throughout the day and I don't like the feeling of going to sleep with it on my head. It does wash out easily with my regular shampoo though. It comes in a thin, lightweight (flimsy) plastic container and luckily it was properly sealed so no product was lost during shipping. So far I still have so much product left, but only time will tell how long this small bottle will last me with regular use. Read more

This sea salt hair texture powder is a total game-changer for my hair routine. It adds the perfect amount of volume and texture without weighing my hair down. I love the lightweight feel and matte finish it gives, making styling a breeze. Definitely a must-have for both men and women looking to elevate their hair game! Read more

TheSalonGuy Sea Salt Hair Texture Powder (Volumizing for Men and Women) This definitely adds volume and texture... but it's not that easy to apply... you have to be really careful because it can get messy. I’ve been applying it kind of like a dry shampoo... actually putting it on my fingers first so I can control how much I’m using. It works well, but I do think it’s a little pricey at $21. Still... if you're looking for something to add grit and lift, this will do the job. Read more

This was a very interesting product to put in my hair. I was imagining it would be similar to a salt spray, just in a dry form instead of liquid. It has a very different feel. It made the hair feel very "grabby" and textured. The opposite of silky and smooth. It is very potent and a little went a very long way. This definitely can add volume. A bit on the roots for long hair or all over to stand up short hair would work. It felt like it stayed on my hair until I washed it and it came out easily when I shampooed. Read more
