Absolutely the best chair I've ever sat in! The quality is obvious from the moment I opened the box. It was packaged well and arrived quickly and in good condition. Set up was a breeze and when I sat on it I felt the comfort I have been looking for! I have had several days to try it out and I have to say sitting at my desk for 8+ hours a day has never been easier. The adjustments make the chair even better! I highly recommend this chair to anyone who experiences back/hip pain, especially if you sit for long periods of time! Read more

This chair is incredibly comfortable. The cushioning is supportive without feeling too firm. The seat is plush, the backrest provides excellent support, and the overall design makes it easy to relax for long periods. I sat on it for 8 hours last night without any discomfort at all. A great choice for any space. Definitely will be ordering from Autonomous again in the future. Read more

—- Update: The company helped me with my damaged chair problem. But the headrest part cannot be fixed and when I force onto it using my head its position changes. Also, lumbar support is as not good as I expected. If it can be set to forward and to back it would be much more better if you suffer from back pain. For this price this chair must have that option. —- The package had serious damages and I got a cosmetic defected chair and I wouldn’t pay even $200 for this chair. I’m not happy and it feels a preowned chair. I just installed the product and how can I repackage it, in how many hours? It is not fair. Read more

I thought the arm rest could be adjusted lower. Only 3 adjust points. Lateral arm rest adjustment do not stay in place. Seat is wider than what I imagine. Wish they would label all the adjustment levers. If I could give 3.5 stars. Price seems on par with similar ergo chairs. There video assembly online. Big plus the chair was delivered a week before Xmas Read more

Product arrived damaged. Exterior of box showed damage and puncture to the middle section. Upon opening the box, I found that that was the area of the box that the seat was placed. The plastic on the bottom of the seat was cracked. I've started a refund and hope to get this resolved quickly. Edit: The replacement process was very smooth and a lot faster than I expected. The seller promptly answered questions and concerns and provided a replacement very quickly. They were very easy to work with. Now that I have the chair, it seems to be exactly what I was needing. It has the option of slightly higher arm rest height than what I saw when looking at other options which helps a lot with my desk in my home office. It supports my back comfortably for long hours at the computer while working and while gaming. With how easy they were to work with and with the chair being what I’d hoped for I’m changing the review to a 5/5. Read more

It is a bit awkward at first. Finding comfortable positions is a little tricky but due to the large amount of knobs and levers you can eventually find positions that are comfortable for you. The chair reclines and also has a comfortable upright position. Overall its not bad. I kinda wish the arm rests were a bit longer and a bit wider. Read more

I wanted to like this chair ... I have an old lumbar spinal fusion that makes sitting challenging an lumbar support of paramount importance. The seat pan is so deep on this chair and does *NOT* slide. Yes, you can adjust the back a little bit, but not nearly enough to compensate for the deep seat pan. The result is that my back rarely makes contact with the lumbar support and my lower back is usually suspended in the air with only my butt and upper back making contact with the chair. The only way around that is to sit very upright in which case my knees can't reach the edge of the seat pan (I'm 5'10", not overly short), so I have to spread my legs wide and straddle the chair, effectively. It may work for most people, but doesn't I'm guessing won't work for lots of people with serious back issues or who need lumbar support. The pros I guess is that it is highly adjustable in OTHER ways and is quite sturdy (though the arms did start to fall apart 3-4 years in). I'd probably give it at least 4 stars for a taller normal person with no back issues. For me, personally, I give it a 1-2 stars. Read more
