I thought these black pants would be more of a sweatpants texture and I don't believe them to be that although I'm not quite sure where to classify them maybe a sweatpants style jogger material? Anyhow I quite enjoy them they are very comfortable. The material is super soft with good amount of stretch. I am 5'3 and 170 lb and I ordered an extra large because I wanted to make sure that the extra junk in the trunk fit lol. These are actually borderline too big and I would have rather had a large. So that means I feel that these are very true to size. They are also a bit long on me but again I am short. The nice thick waistband was easy to roll over one time fixing every issue that I had through no fault of the pants themselves. The drawstrings are nice and long so you do not have to worry about them getting lost in the waistband. And the black is very black which also means that it shows dust and dirt very well. They are nice and warm and yet not hot. Both the material and the stitching appear to be very good quality. Here’s my rating scale for products: 1 Star: Do not buy. This item has serious flaws. I would never under any circumstances use again. 2 Stars: Do not buy. Its usable at best, but you could easily find something better. 3 Stars: Just ok. Buy if you can't find an alternative. Some issues need to be addressed. 4 Stars: Recommend purchase. This item met my expectations. 5 Stars: I love this product and would highly recommend to friends & family. I'm surprised at the nice thick fabric and quality! These are also soft and stretchy, with great pocket space which is such a rarity in women's clothing. I will say that because the fabric is a little thicker I did work up a little bit of a sweat in them while I was moving around a lot but that just means they're great for cooler days too. Read more

In my lexicon, “sweatpants” are normally fleece. That said, they are pull-on and stretchy. They are definitely active wear, not for the office., as they have a drawstring. These pants feel a bit snug (especially in the rear), even though they’re my normal size. I was afraid from the picture, that they might be a bit short (I’m 5’7”). The length is fine. On me, the rise is above my bellybutton. The legs are slightly flared. There’s one thing I find strange…the side seam is maybe 1-1.5” more toward the front of the leg instead of being strictly down the side (maybe that’s why they’re snug in the rear?). There are two front pockets and no back pockets. The pockets seem deep enough to retain their contents. (It seems some pockets I’ve had recently, routinely disgorge their contents). The material is not flimsy, nor is it thick. (I think the pants will be good for transition seasons from cold to hot or vice versa.). The material does not show any wrinkles…yayy, no ironing. The grey I got is a nice charcoal and will go with practically everything. All-in-all the pants seem fairly priced. They do run a bit small and I wouldn’t call them sweatpants, hence the deletion of a star. Read more

These pants aren't awful, but they may not be what you expect. First of all the material is unusual. It is light weight and breathable. Great for warm days. It doesn't wrinkle and it also has some stretch. However, it isn't like anything that I would expect clothing to be made from. It feels more like a fabric that curtains might be made from. They are comfortable , but the fit is smaller in the top than expected. I think that might be why they claim that they are slimming, but it makes them look unflattering. The worst thing is that the fact that the pockets are lined in white. That makes them look cheap and tacky with the dark navy color. Overall these are not pants that would recommend to anyone. I like the design of these comfortable drawstring pants. They have pockets on the slant, which have less bulk, and they are a straight line from top to hem. They have plenty of width at the bottom, so they will fit any size of calf, and even are wide enough to use as yoga pants, if the studio or the weather feels cold. My issue is with the distance from the waist to the groin. It is a little short, and even when I try to pull them down to sit slightly on my hips, I can still feel a little pull. It could just be the size of my bottom, of course! They have stretch in the material, so I think this will end up being fine, but it is something to notice. Read more
