I live in an apartment and purchased the headphones to avoid disturbing neighbors with my late night TV viewing. I have never even set up a DVR so when I opened the box and saw so many cables I was initially intimidated. Step 1 of the instructions showed a picture of each connector/cable and its name as well as a picture of the type of outlet it would plug into. For a novice like myself that doesn't know the difference between an RCA Jack and an Optical Out this made set-up very easy. I was especially impressed that the set-up was exactly as the instructions explained. I have purchased other items with set-up instructions that either had steps missing or hadn't been updated from previous models. I was able to complete the setup on the first try. I then realized there were so many cables because there were extra cables for other TV models that I wouldn't need to use. Instructions include an FAQ sheet, a trouble shooting sheet, and contact information for support. The headset is comfortable and the volume adjusts easily with my TV remote. I have used the headset for four days. It is very lightweight and the sound quality is very good. I cannot fully address the battery life or durability at this point. I can only say that I haven't had to recharge after eight hours of use and appears sturdy. I am very satisfied with the ease of set-up, quality, functionality, and price. Read more

I live in an older duplex by the beach in Los Angeles that doesn't have great sound proofing. I use the Avantree headphones every time I watch TV which is generally 1-2 hours a day so as not to bother the tenants next to me. I haven't used other Bluetooth TV headphones, but I particularly like these because they don't cover the ear and make them hot and when I have the headphones in my ear, they are so comfortable that I don't really notice they are there. I also have Apple Airpods for my iPhone and I think they both are great in that you don't think about them being in your ears. The sound can't be turned up too loud, but they are definitely loud enough and the sound is very clear. It has gotten to the point where I rather prefer listening to the TV using them than with the volume on the TV on. My only frustration with the product is that I have had 2 headphones go out on me -- one stopped pairing with the receiver and on the second set of headphones one side stopped playing sound. Normally, this would have caused me to want to give the product a negative review. However, each time I contacted them (they prefer email), they have responded very quickly and within half a week sent me a complete new system, with me sending them back the non working system free of charge. When I purchased them, I figured there was a one year warranty, but I believe one of their customer support people told me there is a 2 year warranty. I hope with my latest pair, I won't have any need to contact customer service as I suspect they have lost money on me as a customer. Also, I have been inconvenienced with having to wait for a new system to arrive and having to send back the old system. I have given them 5 stars because I really love this product despite the two instances of them breaking down. And if they do break down, they do stand behind their product and their customer care is excellent and they take care of you right away. One last thing I would like to add is the battery life is great. I once paired my Airpods to their system and they lasted 3 hours and went out in the middle of a show I was watching. With the Avantree headphones I get a weeks worth of TV out of them before needing to recharge them. I would also add that the range is great. I have walked outside to take the trash out or get something from my car and they stay connected for quite a distance, but for me that is not a necessary feature. Read more

I set these up pretty easily. The directions are kind of weird but you can follow them ok. I had a hard time finding the audio out (instead of audio in) on my TV, they are located in two different spots on the back of the TV which threw me off at first. But I called the help number and someone actually answered, and luckily I noticed that the audio out. So that solved the problem I was having. The earphones pair automatically with the transmitter, so that part is easy. Then you make sure that the TV speaker settings are correct and then the headphones worked. I only have two speakers settings on my computer, the names didn't match what was in the directions, but I just tried both and will use the one that works. They give you the different cords/cables so you have all them and can use what fits on your TV. Overall it was pretty simple. I think the sound quality is ok, I wish the volume could go slightly louder. However, it is pretty loud so not a big deal. The second set automatically paired with the transmitter, the directions again weren't totally clear but I just pressed buttons I thought were correct and it worked eventually.
