I just received this today and I can confirm it does indeed work as a travel dock allowing connectivity with the NEW Nintendo Switch 2. There are a few things to keep in mind, however, as for now (July 20, 2025) is doesn't work Out-of-the-Box. You MUST update to the latest firmware in order for the dock to work on the Switch 2. 1. The device works perfectly well as a USB hub/dock with HDMI and power over a USB-C connection to connected devices (including the Original Switch and the OLED Switch) as well as computers and other electronics. 2. The device comes with a high-quality USB-C to USB-C cable that is meant to be used to supply power and data connectivity. You can use other USB-C to USB-C cables, but keep in mind, not only must is support 100W PD for the power to be negotiated correctly, it must also properly transmit data in order for the HDMI video connection to work. 3. The device is extremely compact and portable as it doesn't require an additional power supply as it provides all connections needed to serve as a portable dock for the Switch/Switch2 or a small charger and expansion hub for USB-C computer or other smart devices. 4. In order for the Switch 2 to use this device as a portable dock, you MUST update to the latest firmware, but you must also use a compatible USB-C data and 100W PD cable connected to the bottom (dock port) USB-C connection on the Switch 2. It will not enable "dock" mode if using the USB-C connection on the top of the Switch 2. I took a chance on this device and ignored some of the reviews that stated the Switch 2 didn't work or was incompatible, as I'm using several other HDMI capture cards and items produced by this company. I can also state that I did additional research on the product and compatibility matrix, and it clearly stated (before purchase) that a firmware upgrade was needed. After the firmware update, I tried the Switch 2 and the OLED Switch both and this functions as an amazing dock, giving me no visual indications that the performance or function was anything less or different from the Nintendo-provided Switch 2 dock. The only thing I do wish is that it would allow it to work from the top USB port so that the kickstand can be used for dock mode. For my testing I left the Switch 2 leaned up against a stand I had on my desk so that there can be airflow. A portable cell phone stand can be used for this as it is important to have sufficient cooling. Read more

I have ordered 2 of these devices. Both work awesome for Switch 1, Switch 2, and Steamdeck after updating the firmware. Get the updater from the Avermedia website. USB-C from Core Go to USB-A on a PC works, PC side does not need to be USB C as well. I updated both this way. Highly recommend this guy!! Read more

Works fine for the Switch 2 after a firmware update provided by the manufacturer. Prior to the firmware update, it would only charge the Switch 2 and not output the video and audio. Getting the firmware update program to work was difficult, though, as it would not work on my Windows 11 desktop PC. It would never detect the GC313 Core Go as connected. I connected it to my ROG Ally X top left USB C port and the firmware update program finally detected the GC313 Core Go and updated the firmware. Video and sound output then worked without issue. I docked one star for the aggravation of the firmware update process. Read more

If you can get the firmware update to work, maybe this works well for the Switch 2 like they advertise. But I wouldn't count on it. It doesn't work on mac so tried on 3 different windows PCs and couldn't ever get it to recognize it and allow me to update. As-is, doesn't do anything as a switch 2 dock. Gave flickering video from my steamdeck when I tested on there too. Really disappointed - this seemed super promising! Read more

After a quick and easy firmware update (you need windows) i'm able to dock the switch 2 perfectly in 4K60. At first i was having an issue with the image jumping by 1 or 2 lines randomly flickering. After replacing my HDMI cable it was perfect. I also needed to make sure to use the supplied cable as some other USBC 3.2 cables I was using was not working to dock the Switch 2, it would only charge. Along with a portable folding stand, it works great as a portable Switch 2 dock setup that can fit in a case. I just wish one side of the USB C cable had a 90 degree bend to it since the USB C cable is kinda stiff. Read more

This portable charger and docking station has some great features, but it falls short in a few key areas. The 100W GaN fast charging works well, and the 4K60 HDMI output is solid when it functions properly. It’s compact and convenient for travel, making it a good option for Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck users who want an all-in-one solution. However, there are a few drawbacks. The connection can be a bit finicky at times, requiring repositioning or reinserting cables to get it to work consistently. Also, while it charges devices quickly, it tends to heat up more than expected, which raises some concerns about long-term durability. Overall, it’s a decent product, but for the price, I expected more reliability. If you need a portable dock, it gets the job done—but with some patience. Read more

I've been using it daily for many months now switching between my work laptop (Windows), personal laptop (MacBook), and Switch 2 all on the same monitor. The extra ports are convenient for charging more devices while it's in use, works as a USB hub for my keyboard too. It gets hot when everything is plugged in but it is outputting a lot of power so that seems appropriate. I only question if I should have gotten the one with the capture card.... Read more
