Got it today and after reading some negative reviews i am here to say that it works perfectly. Read the instructions before set up. It does what it says, i was able to move all my PS4 games and PS5. PS4 games work directly from the drive, is awesome. PS5 needs to be moved back, just like is advertised. Excellent product, the design is awesome and is very good quality. They send the box in is normal casing so it was not good, they need to package this item better, is worth it. I am very happy there is no clicking or noise like some comments claim, i think most did not read the manual included or just defective. Get it, is the best thing i got for my ps5 so far. A Huge Disappointment—June 24, 2023
I bought this it ended up coming late and very confusing shipping info. It works fine. I notice no clicking noises when the ps5 is in rest mode. One thing I did notice is it said ps5 can only download then and cannot play but you can transfer rather easily. My ps5 allows me to play them from the storage so I guess that’s a bonus. Not fully 8 Tb but that’s because my dumb self can’t read descriptions but I don’t think I can even fill it with the games I actually play. Read more

Great product. At first I was skeptical as a everyday gamer and moving games from the HD to the ps5 and vice versa but its not too bad. A 100 gig game takes roughly 10-15 minutes to move. Make sure you remove the HD safely from the ps5 before turning off as just like with any external HD it may damage the files. If there was one complaint I would say that some games dont keep the updates and then they have to download each time the game is moved to the ps5, this could also be a user thing. 8TB for the price is aweseome, its also a nice design. pshh I remember when 1 gig thumbdrive was 200 bucks. Very quiet and works very well. This product was easy to connect and use for Xbox one. If you have a ps4 you will need to reformat the drive before use. Nothing too complicated to do. Read more

I purchased this external hard drive because I kept losing data on those USB-port-powered WD Passport drives. Big mistake. I initially found the slow drive speed a bit off-putting as it was pause my entire computer whenever it needed to spin up the drive. This made it frustrating and time-consuming as moved large amounts of data to it (hoping to rely on the drive as an archive for various files). Well, here we are, a little over a year later of casual usage and I’m experiencing corrupted files and “Not Responding” window title bars as I try (and fail) to access files I stored on the drive. Not to worry, it spins up its platters to and makes me wait to display directories…but more and more of the drive is corrupted now (and I’ve lost valuable files because of it). External HDDs are a crap shoot of reliability these days but this one really stung me (due to its high capacity). Might as well just pay a monthly fee to some cloud storage service at this point.
