I recently resumed swimming 4x a week at my local gym with heavily chlorinated water. I've tried a few different "swim" shampoos over the years, but wasn't really impressed. I decided to give this a try as it's both a shampoo and body wash (one less thing in the gym shower). I am 60 years old and have thick wavy, somewhat coarse salt and pepper hair that is long (middle of my back). Most swim shampoos leave my hair heavy and gunky feeling, but this one did not, I was impressed! My hair felt clean and was nice and soft. I was able to brush through it with a detangling brush and didn't need to use my leave-in conditioner, which was a plus. The smell is not overpowering. I'm very sensitive to smell and have sensitive skin. Some reviewers have said it smells like tea tree, I didn't get that and I'm sensitive to tea tree. It smells refreshing, a light mint/citrus scent that's not too overpowering at all. It was effective at removing the chlorine from my skin and hair and not bad in terms of cost, I've certainly spent more on subpar products. Read more

Smells so good and gets kids hair clean. It is, however, not an everyday shampoo even if your child is in the water daily--it’s too drying. Definitely cleans the hair as well as the scalp unlike so many other shampoos marketed to kids. Will not leave hair soft unless you use it too much and strip the hair.
