Mute Trumpet, no sound
Looks like a great set, all except for the trumpet. It does not make noise. Which is unfortunate because that was the main reason I chose this set and it is for a birthday so I won't have time to get a replacement before the day. All other instruments seem good quality and gave good sound. Read more
Cute toddler instrument set
This is a very cute set of Montessori-style rhythm instruments with some unique items in it. First, unlike many sets like this, all the pieces are correctly classified as instruments--very often, these sets have stacking toys or other non-instruments included, so props to the company for including all instruments. They all have a relatively soft sound, but that's what you want for smaller kids, for the sake of their ears and the ears of the grownups around them! These are easy to use and basically intuitive, even for young kids, and just the right size for little hands. The instruments are all well-finished, without splinters or rough edges and with nicely finished paint work, where applicable. I especially like the small chimes set and the uniquely designed tambourine--very nice additions! Read more
