Much like the other reviews have sung the praises, this bag is exactly what the name implies: smart. It’s a pretty cool design and once you open it you realize how many different ways you can carry it. First, it offers a serious amount with a generous storage capacity. At first glance it looks like a typical carry-on airline bag-storage-wise. You can pack it just so with shoes in the waterproof one end separately, and a top mesh zipper pocket. I like to use this part for socks, underwear or bathing suits. Second, it can be carried as a bag with two straps Velcroed together, a backpack, or a bag with a long shoulder strap, or a bag with a top handle. Cinch it down over another bag like a rolling suitcase. When not being used it flattens down or fold it up and store it away so easily. Lastly, there are pockets galore for keys, water bottles, knickknacks, and whatever you could need. The zippers are reinforced and durable and has a clip to reinforce the closure. The material is thick and the price is cheaper than my kid’s flimsy backpacks that fall apart within 2-3 weeks of use. The design is really well thought out and checks so many boxes. One thing I really really like in my duffle bags is a larger pocket on either end of the bag and this bag has it! It's maybe 1/3 the length of the bag so it's very useful. It's very useful to be able to separate some clothes from others. So it might be dirty shoes or worn clothes (stuff for the hamper). The straps feel study, the size is plentiful, and the zippers have no given me any reasons to be concerned yet. It is very nice that you can fold it down to carry it around as smaller bags but I wouldn't consider the bag useful in the smaller configuration; if you folded it down to a backpack size and wore it that way, it would have very little space to hold anything since it's holding the rest of the duffle bag. It also has a bunch of ways to hold it with handles on each end and sides, as well as the shoulder strap. The zippers have loops already attached so they're easy to find and use. For the price point I expected better quality and thicker material, packed bag with 15 pounds and you could already see the threading stressed and popping out, top of straps look like they are about to rip off as well from not being sturdy. For maybe $15 I’d be okay with it since the size is nice and space is great but at $36+ I’d expect much better quality. Overall just felt like the bag would give out on me on my trip. Read more

Broke immediately. Strap completely snapped off within an hour when I first used it. Really bummed. By no means is this a 40l bag. Not sure what it's supposed to carry when it's so flimsy... maybe like cool whip or inflated balloons. Read more
