I ordered the 8" in black and grey. The fabric is relatively soft and I love the length. I'm 5'3" and these are just a couple/few inches up from my knees, which is what I wanted. While the band at the leg hole is not tight, I don't think it has enough stretch and I don't like the feeling of it being tighter than the fabric above it. I'd like a more seamleass transition. It feels as though if I tried stretching it, the threading would tear. The same goes for the same kind of band at the top of the waist. Even if it is looser in the waist, I do not like the band is tighter than the rest underneath. I think these are great in theory, but I find the execution could be better. They do not ride up in the crotch and they have a good coverage of the waist/high waist but I found that the back gets pulled down and the seam/lines at the back of the waist are too low and should sit higher. I couldn't decide if these were too loose in the waist or not but I didn't like that they were looser there and then tighter in the hips and thighs. I am considering sizing up from medium to large but worry there will be too much fabric in the waist or that it will be too loose there. I will update my review if I do purchase the large.
