Customers find the ball launcher suitable for small dogs, with one mentioning it's excellent for busy pets. However, the functionality and throw distance receive mixed feedback, with some saying it works great while others report it stops working after a month and doesn't throw far enough. Doesn't throw has far as it says it should even when on the farthest setting. Balls are not durable at all, I have a chocolate lab and they are broken them all after 1 day. Very disappointed in this product. Read more
Nice unit with nice features and great performance....IF you use the balls sent with it. They give 3, two are mini tennis balls and one is like a solid rubber foam type (which my pups don't like the smell of, so they wont return it). The two tennis balls worked fine as well, but were "scalped" a ripped to little pieces in a matter of hours - NOT durable AT ALL. We have 2 hefty Yorkies that love fetching and can tear up a plush toy to remove the squeaker in 10 minutes. Yes, aggressive chewers. That being said, I have many balls they have not destroyed after years of play. So, I go through the collection. Obviously the 2" balls do not fit. However the "quote" 1.75" balls I have don't go easily into the chute, but if you just push it in, it will trigger the motor and usually eject it without another push down. The brands are in the Top 5 best balls, and have never failed, or been destroyed. One brand even claims it's compatible with this brand of launcher on Amazon. Maybe I take my beard trimmer and thin them down? Or, better yet, enlarge the intake diameter to accept any slightly larger balls. -- Will update this review after I get that done -- PROs: 1) Once charged it's portable to the yard without a cord. For how long I don't know yet, as am working on the ball issue. 2) Great distance options. 3) Remote... would be nice it were RF so you didn't have to point the IR remote at rear of unit only. 4) Pups LOVE it!!!! I just have to teach them to drop the balls themselves....WHEN I GET BALLS TO WORK!! Read more

Bought this as a present and have heard nothing but rave reviews. The sister in-law has a new puppy wants to play catch all the time. He played with this for 1.5hrs the other day. Weβll worth the money so he gets his exercise. Read more

So I purchased this for my dog to use in my condo and it's great. I use it with actual tennis balls because they are a bit more durable and I have not run into issues. Read more
