Have had this skirt for a while now, and I receive so many compliments for it every time I wear it! Both the material of the outer skirt and of the inner lining are really light and thin, so I only really wear it on hot days. However, they are not so thin as to be see-through, so this hasn't presented a huge problem to me, personally. The style is extremely flowy and romantic, and the tie in the front is a nice detail. The length is about as long as I would want it to be, so if you are on the shorter side and between sizes, it would probably be a good idea to size down. I am incredibly conflicted and unsure if I will keep this skirt. To start out, this skirt is stunning and flattering! The black base for the floral design keeps it from looking overly boho for easy styling. I find the thick waistband flattering and love the asymmetric hem. It is swishy and very breathable, and I was excited to wear it during the summer. With all the fabric and the loose flowy fit it could be great for maternity as well. The main problem with this skirt is that it is see through! There is a lining but it only goes low enough to maybe cover your undies. I tried it on in front of a natural light window on a moderately sunny day and I could completely see my legs thru the skirt. Yes, a slip could be worn but that is an additional purchase as well as it would reduce the breathability. Read more

This skirt is as pretty as expected. Since the ties are a bit short and feel uncomfortable when I wear it as a halter dress, I'll more than likely be wearing it as a strapless one instead. Either way, the skirt is pretty. I love bamboo rayon, and the weave is tight enough not to be see-through when you wear it as a dress (there's a light lining inside but it's only a foot wide). It also has the slightest sheen to it. My gripe is with the lining. The light weight of the skirt fabric is perfect for my subtropical Florida climate, but the white cotton lining is significantly lighter than the skirt color and too short to serve any purpose when worn as a dress. I'd just as soon do without it and may actually just cut it out. Also, size up. This fabric has no stretch at all. I had a little bit of a time getting a M over my hips, the smocked waist notwithstanding. I'm only around 155 lbs so it shouldn't have been a problem. And tall women, watch out: it's shorter than it looks in the picture. I'm 5'10" and this skirt is a traditional tea length, not ankle length as pictured. Overall, I'm happy and I think I'll be wearing this a lot. Note: FOLLOW THE WASHING INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY! Rayon shrinks at the blink of an eye. Read more
