I bought this as a recommendation from a set a stainless steel cookware I just bought; it was on the manufacturer’s suggestions for cleaning them. Call me an ignorant but I never heard of this marvel before. The name sounded funny but I came to Amazon anyway and saw all the outrageous reviews and gave it a try. U-N-B-E-L-I-E-V-A-B-L-E ¡!! All the time I have been using metal polishers and cleaning paste to clean stainless steel, with good results but sometime with a lot of work to remove some of the most stubborn burnt-outs. With Bar Keepers is not only a breeze but the results are way better. I cleaned all the 8 pieces set in about 15 minutes, and then I cleaned the sink and I swear it looked like the day we installed it 6 years ago, it was so shiny that you had to wear sunglasses to look at it. Given the magnificent success I decided to try it on a few other cleaning projects: To clean the Outside of Anodized Aluminum cookware. Finally I was able to easily remove those oil spills that stick to the outside of the cookware with a few dashes of this product. I’ve used all sorts of techniques, hot water, liquid soap, powder soap even putting them on the dishwasher and the spills remained, once there and burned in they become almost permanent. But not for Bar Keepers! To clean the burn out stains on the steel burners of a gas stove. If you are cooking on a modern gas stove and oil goes into the silver rims surrounding the burners, it will immediately burn and create a brown stain very hard to remove, the sudden chemical reaction on the very hot surface creates an almost enamel oily cover on the steel surface. Before, I had to use glass cook top cleaner, a soft abrasive pad and plenty of elbow grease to remove them, a real hassle. For Bar Keepers, a small amount of powder and water enough to create a paste, some rubbing with a cloth and done, like brand new. It is also great to clean the black iron grates and pieces on the kitchen To remove soap scum from a natural stone shower floor. No deep scrubbing necessary, just enough powder and some water and it will remove most of it with light pressure. I had to use some extra pressure on some of the scum on the grout, but nothing extraordinary In conclusion, an amazing product, probably the best all out cleaner available, countless uses, very easy to apply, no residue and very low price. And just strong enough to clean, soft enough to do not damage most surfaces Read more
Cleaning powders are a must-have in many households for their versatility and powerful cleaning capabilities. They’re especially great for tackling tough grime, stains, and built-up dirt. Most cleaning powders have a mildly abrasive texture, which helps scrub surfaces without scratching them, making them perfect for sinks, bathtubs, ovens, and even stovetops. Plus, many come with fresh, pleasant scents that leave your space smelling clean and fresh after use. What’s great about cleaning powders is their convenience: they typically require just a sprinkle, a little scrubbing, and a rinse to get surfaces sparkling. Whether you're using them in the bathroom, kitchen, or on floors, they can break down grease, soap scum, and even mineral deposits. Another plus is that they tend to last a long time, as you only need a small amount to get the job done. For eco-conscious buyers, many cleaning powders are available in biodegradable or environmentally-friendly formulas, providing a safe and effective cleaning solution without harsh chemicals. However, it’s important to be cautious with more delicate surfaces, as the abrasiveness might cause damage over time if used too aggressively. So, always check the label for recommendations on where and how to use it. Read more
This stuff really works! It cleaned my stainless steel pan that I thought was ruined by bacon grease stains. It made it shine like brand new! I use it on multiple surfaces aswell. My glass stove top, bathroom however I have really tough calcium build up stains that it would not remove on my faucet. But over all it will be buying again. It does go along way. Make sure the read the instructions before use. Read more
Really good product. It doesn't seem to scratch glass but is really good at cleaning those pesky water stains. I have been trying to find a way to get WATER STAINS off my GLASS SHOWER. I saw someone using this online for their shower (You Tube) and since I knew the product decided to try it. It worked for me....I have only done a one pass but most of the water stains are gone. Considering that I also purchased 2-3 products (VERY expensive) online that didn't work, this was great. For the price of the product you could try it on a VERY SMALL area to see if you get results (I used it with a light scouring pad). But, really guys we should be using that glass sqegee (spell?) after each shower: Or some use that RainX (spell) product each time. BUT I'm TOO LAZY--I do it for a few days and then it becomes weeks and then.....NEVER. Hope your shower looks better than mine! Read more
Powerful, Versatile Cleaner That Works Like Magic! I’ve been using BAR KEEPERS FRIEND Powdered Cleanser for a while now, and it never fails to impress. This stuff is a powerhouse for tackling tough stains, rust, hard water deposits, and grime on a variety of surfaces—from stainless steel sinks and cookware to ceramic, glass, and even porcelain. The powder is easy to use: just sprinkle, add a little water to make a paste, and scrub. It cuts through buildup without scratching or dulling surfaces, leaving everything sparkling clean. I especially love using it on my stainless steel pots and pans—they come out looking almost new. It’s also great for cleaning bathroom fixtures, removing soap scum, and brightening grout. One thing to note: it’s abrasive, so I avoid using it on delicate surfaces like non-stick pans or polished stone. Read more
I was told of this brand. Because a countertop had a rust stain that wouldn’t come out with other powdered cleansers. I was shocked at how fast and how well this works. The stain was gone in seconds. There’s no strong smell. Perfect size for fitting in most cabinets for storage. Highly recommend. Read more
