It is perfect for me.

I've been using powerbanks from Beasus for many years. I have few other models and they still work after years of use. This one I had for a few days, can't say how it will work in a long run. It supports fast charging and very comfortable to carry around. I attached pictures to compare it with my old one. This one on the thicker side. Read more

Large capacity with fast charging as claimed - battery is thicker than what's shown in product pics

Review item: Baseus 20000mAh Portable Charger 45W, CCC Certified Power Bank Built-in USB-C Cables, Travel Essential PD Fast Charging Battery Pack for iPhone 17/16 Series Galaxy S25/S24 Ultra Google iPad Price at time of review: $29.99 This is the first power bank I've gotten from Baseus, a brand that's not as familiar to me as some that you may think synonymous with the product category. But I was interested in picking one up because their products are well-reviewed. This one is the largest power bank I've gotten, at 20000mAh with 45W. It looks like a direct upgrade to one of its previous power banks (https://amzn.to/4qUlX3q), at 10000mAh and 22.5W - and this one has an overall rating at the time of review at 4.6 stars. It's got a similar form factor, with a digital display that shows % remaining (both when in use and when charging), USB C and A ports, and built in USB-C cable - although the upgrade has two integrated USB C cables that form a carrying handle instead of one. Now, I'm not completely sold on using the integrated charging cables as a handle, but it does appear that they are solidly anchored. The form the cable using an plastic clip that can be slid up and down one of the cables, but not removed, so you can't lose it - the head of the other cable can slide in one way to form the carrying loop. The battery came with 29% charge - it took a couple of hours to charge up (sorry, I should have timed it) and when it was fully charged, I tested the output by using it to power a handheld gaming device (a ROG Ally). The handheld draws power as needed - when playing a game, it drew 45W consistently, the advertised limit. But what convinced me of its merits were that the handheld ran in its Turbo mode - the Ally is finicky with power, and a substandard power bank would have trouble with this. The price at time of review was on the lower end of the range for 20000mAh power banks capable of 45W (or slightly more). With the build quality and its power capabilities, I'd say this is a very good value. One thing I will point out is that the product photography on the box and product page are somewhat misleading. The photos show a power bank that is thinner than it is, and I was somewhat surprised at its thickness - about 1.2 inches (which does match the text specs on the photos). But this is what I should have expected. Compared to another 10000mAh power bank I have handy that is about double the thickness and the weight (13 ounces vs around 7). At this size and weight, though, you may want to consider the trade-off for something with less capacity and weight for your every day carry or your travel bag. Read more

The fixed cables are sadly more of a nuisance.

This was my first time buying anything from this brand so their products are not familiar territory for me. Generally, I tend to stay away from unfamiliar-to-me brands when buying electronics and such, but I was in need of a portable power bank and there was something about the color of this one specifically that caught my eye and wouldn’t let go. And for what it’s worth, the color is just as nice in person! The electronic battery level display is light-in-color as well, likely to match the aesthetics of the casing, which is nice despite being a little difficult to read in some settings. As for the power bank itself… I have some conflicting feelings about it. First, it’s VERY HEAVY. But I’d overlook that considering it is 20000mAh. What I really don’t love about it are the two fixed USB-C cables attached to it because they are more of a nuisance than not. When using portable power banks I try not to use my phone while actively charging so a lot of the time I’ll have my phone in one pocket and the power bank in the opposite pocket with the charging cable running across that short distance. Due to the fixed cable sizes of this unit I wouldn’t be able to do that unless I had my phone and the power bank in the same pocket, which is just asking for trouble in more ways than one. Point being, the wires are simply to short. Now I understand why that is and one could always take advantage of one of the two other ports to make use of their own cable but I feel like it would’ve been better if these two fixed cables were just a tad bit longer and also retractable as I’m not a fan of the fact that they are free-hanging. Yes, you could fashion them together to make a “bracelet” loop of course but that means pulling on the cords which doesn’t bode well for longterm use. As we probably all know by now, charging cables are fickle and fragile creatures. What I really like (aside from the color) is the power bank itself doesn’t get hot. Granted I’ve only charged phones but in all of that time the power bank has consistently remained cool. Weirdly though, my iPhone 17 Pro would get really warm while being charged with this power bank. More so than my 14 Pro Max did. So much for that cooling chamber lol Some other things - with a full battery I was able to charge an iPhone 17 Pro and a 14 Pro Max (with an added cable) from around 10% to 100% before the power bank was depleted. This was two separate instances though, aka back to back charging. I did not attempt charging both devices at the same time. Charge time speed is also very good. All in all, I don’t know if this will work for me because I really hate the cable situation. It’s just not workable for me unless I use an external cable which I’d have been perfectly fine with if it weren’t for the fact that there was is no way to hide away or remove the 2 short fixed cables. To me they hinder the overall functionality of the unit and take up space. Portability is all about space saving. A compact unit with cables hanging out is not really compact to me. With that said, if this brand had this power bank without the fixed cables and/or with retractable and/or hidden away cables in this exact color I know I would’ve loved that. I’m updating this review because the company made note of my feedback so I’m hoping to see a future release with some of the changes noted above! I’ll be on the lookout! Read more
