I have other travel adapters with a retractable built-in cable, but this is the first one I've seen where the cable has a bit of a braided appearance. It looks like it might be a little bit more sturdy than the others. Kudos to the manufacturer for their transparency about the real capabilities of this adapter, both here in the listing (check out those diagrams) and printed on the back of the adapter itself. Some similar adapters don't spell things out so clearly. 45 watts is the maximum output this charger can supply, and that is only available under certain conditions – specially, when using the C1 port alone, with a PD-capable device that requests 15 or 20 volts. C1 is the retractable cable. In other cases, the limit is 35 watts, with 20 watts allocated to C1 and the other 15 watts shared among C2, A1, and A2. Those other ports actually have a shared/combined 15 watt max whether C1 is in use, or not. The included instructions say, “due to the fast charging protocol recognition and smart power allocation, the product will have 2-3 times auto reboot when used multiple output ports simultaneously, which is considered to be normal.” What they're saying here is that the devices already charging may indicate a brief disruption in charging when you plug in an additional device, while the unit internally adjusts to the new configuration. Some chargers are actually really bad about this, briefly interrupting the charge every time you plug in or unplug something, and some will even slow down their fast charging port to be as slow as all the others whenever multiple ports are in use, but this charger seems to keep going without disruption in some circumstances where some of my others don't... so, that's good. The bonus 2 prong US/Japan receptacle on the side is a nice touch, allowing you to plug in a second non-USB device with a 2 prong plug. And of course, there's nothing mandatory about using this only for travel. I think this charger will find a home in my bathroom, powering my smart watch charge cable (USB C), eyebrow trimmer charge cable (USB A), USB clip fan (USB A), and occasionally even my phone (retractable USB C)... while still leaving the electrical outlet usable for other things I might plug into the adapter (but not the hair dryer while at home – the unit is rated and fused for 10 amps max, and my hair dryer draws 15 amps when used on 120 volts but only 7.5 when used on 240 volts, so that's fine when abroad but not at home). As always, remember that for non-USB uses (as classic travel adapter), this is only a plug adapter, not a voltage or frequency converter, so be sure your device is compatible with the local electricity supply. I'm not a frequent traveler, but every year or so I'll cross the Atlantic to spend time with my in-laws in the UK. Most years I inevitably forget to bring an adapter, but this year I saw this one on Amazon Vine some time in advance and saw a good opportunity to test it. After a two-week trip in the UK in which this was used on multiple different UK plugs and to adapt from a two-prong EU plug in a hotel room as well, I can say that the product is excellent in every way. The connector is durable and sturdy, and the connections don't feel flimsy like some others of this 'push out' type that I've used before. It has a wide variety of adapters: I can attest it works for converting US to EU and US to UK, as well as UK to UK. I didn't have any issues with it sagging or drooping, but ymmv depending on the tolerance of the specific outlet. While the title has "45W" in the title, that is specifically referring to the built-in USB-C cable, which is rated for 45W quick-charging of phones. The main outlet itself has a maximum wattage of 2500W, which is enough for pretty much anything. The design is excellent on the whole: the built-in retractable USB cable is handy but not especially long, so if you're adapting a floor outlet bring your own USB cable for a longer run up to a table or desk. This international travel plug offers excellent value for its price. It can meet many of your needs, primarily serving as a plug adapter. Additionally, it can adapt to various local plugs and functions as a mini power strip, allowing you to connect extra devices. It also provides 45W of GaN charging for connected devices. The built-in retractable USB-C cable is a great feature, and there are two USB Type-A ports and one USB Type-C port. This universal adapter includes almost everything you need. My only critique is that the power output is a bit low; I prefer a higher output. The build quality is primarily plastic, which is durable, but I wish it were made from higher-quality plastic. The plug adapters have a clever mechanism that lets you extend and retract various plugs. If one plug is already extended, the others cannot extend further and will not damage the plugs, which is an innovative design.
