I’m really impressed with these pants. I just used them over a 4 day deer archery hunt. We backpacked in miles and walked through tons of buck brush in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California. Buck brush has inch and a half long thorns and fairly stiff limbs, though I did get poked these pants did not rip. I literally slid down the side of a mountain through mostly broken down granite and these did not rip. I sat and glassed for hours on jagged granite rocks and these pants did not rip. I also noticed they kept me pretty warm but they are very thin. I loved the option of zipping the legs off, which is why I bought these. They also fit great on me and I’m 6’2”280lbs. My wife and I are planning a trip to Taiwan and SE Asia this spring, so I need lightweight, quick dry long pants that also convert to shorts. I saw these BASSDASH convertible pants on sale so I wanted to try them out. These pants have nice details. BASSDASH includes a spare waist button which is a nice touch. I like the D-ring on the left side (to hang my collapsible water bottle) and the paracord key loop above the right hand slash pocket. Speaking of pockets, there are 6 total: 2 side slash pockets, two cargo pockets, and 2 rear pockets. Each cargo pocket is secured by a single patch of Velcro, and each rear pocket is secured by a full zip. The waist is elastic however I feel it is a long distance between the front and side belt loops (there are a total of 6 belt loops) and I wish there was another belt loop in the middle of each elastic section, to better keep a belt (not included) in place. I like the BASSDASH logo embroidered on the left cargo pocket, it adds a whimsical touch. BTW the cargo pockets have "drain" eyelets in the lower corners. The SBS zippers work smoothly and are very quiet. The side slash and rear pockets are constructed of mesh material which encourages quick drying. Like many other similar products, the zippers of the zip-off legs are not identified, so you might experience some trial-and-error during re-assembly. True to fit and very lightweight. Have worn them 6 times in my boat up to 104 degrees. Have not unzipped legs yet but they are cool and very quick drying. They also breathe quite well. Read more

Sizing was right on, I'm 40/30(5'11/230) and you nailed it. Elastic on waist and custom cut on knees relieves strain when bending/sitting. Zippers are smooth and hidden with plenty of hem that doesn't roll up. Cargo pockets have drain holes and Velcro holds fast. Very well made and will be a return customer. Read more

They are not as breathable as I had hoped, which is very important in humid weather. The material is lightweight and water-resistant, making them great for outdoor activities, but they can get a bit uncomfortable in high humidity. I do appreciate the versatility of the zip-off design, allowing them to convert into shorts, and they dry quickly, which is a plus.
