These patches were easy to use. I was able to patch a hole approx 4. 4 with no trace of repair after. Would use again Read more
Great quality for the price! Self stick makes them easy to use. You just need some knowledge of spreading Sheetrock mud properly. The included puddy spreaders are nice but I used a larger one for smoother coverage. I would buy these again. Read more
I recently used the Bates Drywall Repair Kit (11 pcs, 6-inch) to patch up a few holes in my living room wall, and I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to use. The kit comes with everything you need—patches, putty knife, sanding pad, and more—making it a great all-in-one solution for small to medium repairs. ✅ Pros: Complete Kit: Includes all the essentials for patching holes, so no need to buy extra tools. Good Patch Size: The 6-inch patches were perfect for covering larger nail holes and minor dents. User-Friendly: Even as a DIY novice, I found the instructions clear and the process straightforward. Durable Finish: Once painted over, the patched area blended seamlessly with the wall. Affordable: Great value for the number of pieces included. ⚠️ Cons: Not for Large Repairs: Best suited for small to medium holes—larger damage may need professional help. Basic Tools: The included putty knife and sanding pad are functional but not heavy-duty. No Compound Included: You’ll need to supply your own spackle or joint compound. 🧾 Bottom Line: If you’re looking for a quick, cost-effective way to fix minor wall damage, this kit delivers. It’s ideal for renters, homeowners, or anyone tackling light repairs without calling in a pro. Read more
These patches work great. I ordered two packs of 16 to make numerous minor drywall repairs after the electrical crew butchered the walls and ceilings to fish new electrical lines. These patches are sturdy and make patchwork a quick fix!! I ordered two more packs and will be placing an additional order just to have some on hand for the future. The only thing to be aware of is that the larger patches aren't as plentiful as the smaller patches. 8 small 6 medium & 2 large... I believe. Still worth it! I hope this helps the DIY'ers & G.C.'s 💥 Read more
Worked well. Nice kit. You need to supply your own plaster. Read more

The Bates Choice Drywall Repair Kit undoubtedly lives up to its promise of providing solid adhesion for patching up those unsightly wall imperfections. However, while the kit has its merits, it falls slightly short of being an all-inclusive solution due to a notable omission: the absence of spackle. The adhesion quality of the patches in the Bates Choice kit is commendable. The patches adhere well to surfaces, providing a secure barrier against cracks and holes. Their durability and ability to seamlessly blend into the wall's texture are definitely praiseworthy. Whether dealing with small dings or more significant punctures, the patches effectively hide the flaws and ensure a smooth surface ready for painting. The inclusion of sandpaper and a putty knife is a thoughtful addition, helping users achieve a professional finish. The sandpaper's grit is appropriate for achieving a smooth surface without causing damage to the surrounding wall. However, the aspect that leaves room for improvement is the absence of spackle. Many users would reasonably expect a repair kit to include at least a small amount of spackle, especially given the price point. Spackle is a fundamental component for filling in gaps, smoothing surfaces, and ensuring the patches adhere seamlessly. Its absence means users need to separately purchase spackle, which not only adds to the cost but also requires an extra shopping trip. Read more
