This mat dries very quickly. Within five minutes of me getting out of the shower the hard stone-like part of the mat was already dry. However water pools in the gaps between the slats and doesn't dry quickly at all. The bottom is lined with a plastic so the water just sits in those gaps and will probably be a setup for mold. The picture with the slats almost dry shows how much water is still there between the slats. The mat itself is pretty non-slip as the slats have a texture that grips your feet. The bottom plastic is smooth however and the mat did slip on my tile and was only held in place by the mat's weight. The mat is also tiny, more the size of a mat you'd put in front of the toilet, not in front of the shower. If you are getting these for a shower you should get two, which is very pricey since that will now cost you sixty dollars. On the whole, despite the super quick drying, I wasn't impressed with this mat. It slid on my tiles floor, was cold and hard to step out from the shower, had water pool between the slats and is very very small. Read more

Even with that stone appearance, it doesn't feel uncomfortably cold under bare feet. The mat is constructed with diatomaceous earth slats attached to a clear, flexible, waterproof backing. An anti-slip mat is included to place underneath, which helps keep it from shifting on the floor. The mat dries very quickly after use. I took photos immediately after stepping out of the shower, then again after 1 minute, and 5 minutes, to show how fast the moisture dissipates. The design feels clean and sophisticated and looks nice on the bathroom floor, it feels like an upgrade from a traditional fabric mat.
