Suction cups hold just fine but they could use locking O-rings. If your mirror isn't wide enough, the loops fit very loose and it has a tendency to come off. Fabric is very cheap and flimsy. It holds the hair adequately but it doesn't have a lot of weight to it. Fabric could be a little better material. Velcro pads and neck wrap work but the fit is weird. this beard-trimming bib that suction-cups to your bathroom mirror so all the little demon hairs fall into the hammock instead of coating your sink, floor, toothbrush, soul, etc. ideal for men who shed like german shepherds and partners who are tired of gagging seeing the pile of hair in the sink. this thing showed up in a little plastic clamshell that would not stay shut to save its life. inside though, everything was sealed and clean, no weird smells, no stray hairs (thank god). the bib material itself feels nicer than expected. very cheap gadget but not that cheap. i opened everything, checked the seams, tested the suction cups on my bathroom mirror, tried the velcro neck closure on myself (for science), and filled the bib with some shredded paper to mimic beard clippings so i could see how well the “catch zone” held up before i gave it to my man for christmas. honestly? functionality is 10/10. the bib hangs wide enough to catch basically everything unless your man decides to sneeze mid-trim. the slope of it funnels the hair into one spot so you can dump it out without it drifting everywhere. the velcro closure actually holds tight and creates a decent seal around the neck. suction cups stick real good once you get them positioned. the fabric surprised me. it’s lightweight but not flimsy, smooth, waterproof, and doesn’t let hairs embed themselves into the fibers. the bib material is very swishy and slippery, so don’t open it too fast or it’ll flop open. the trim is stitched cleanly and lies flat. the only low-quality thing is the dang storage box, which arrived cracked and won’t clasp shut. the bib itself? actually solid. it is big enough to cover an entire sink area without feeling overwhelming. wide wingspan, good neck coverage, and folds down tiny. if your boyfriend has a full lumberjack beard, there’s plenty of catch space. you can catch a lot of beard hair in this thing before needing to dump it. the hammock design holds its shape instead of collapsing on itself. no runaway clippings leaking out the sides. stupid easy. clip the velcro, stick the cups to the mirror, trim, dump. the hardest part is convincing your boyfriend to aim his face toward the mirror instead of free-styling beard confetti in the general vicinity of the bib. the suction cups do the job once you heat them a little and press them onto a smooth surface. they don’t slowly slide down the mirror. actually pretty sticky and secure. the suction cups will deform during shipping, but soaking them in hot water fixes that. minus the crappy case, this thing is honestly kind of genius. lightweight, catches everything, easy to clean, and keeps your bathroom from looking like you live with a bear. 10/10 gift for messy men and 100/10 gift for the partners who have to look at their mess.
