This is a great set for a diy hairdresser or barber. Don't just jump into this set full force without giving yourself a chance to get familiar with the pieces and its operation or you will most likely get frustrated and make mistakes. The trimmer is very powerful and sharp so take your time at first. Practice switching heads as it takes a little finesse. If you pull and tug to remove the pieces it is likely you could break a pin or crack the plastic. Just give it a slight wiggle and gentle pull and the pieces easily separate. Other than that just start with the longer cutting attachments and works your way down to the one that works best for your intentions. I find it easier and safer to use a little cream or soap to soften my beard but as far as cutting hair it seems to work best dry or slightly damp. e patient and you will grow to love this trimmer set.
