As I get older, I really struggle to feel comfortable in a swimsuit. I no longer have the muscle I used to have, and I’ve recently put on quite a bit of weight. At the same time, with spring around the corner and summer after that, odds are I will have to put on a swimsuit, regardless of how it makes me feel. Then THIS popped up as a suggested item, and I thought, “Why not give it a try?”, and I placed the order. I was worried it might be one of those products that looks beautiful in the photos, but when you get it, it looks cheap and flimsy and nothing about it resembles what was advertised. And then . . . I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package the day it arrived! I quickly got out my swimsuit to try it on and take pictures for this review. I got it in the cream color, and it ABSOLUTELY looks like the photos. The fabric is lightweight and woven with a lovely thread that has a little bit of shine. As an added bonus, there are tiny clear sequins woven in here and there that glisten in the sunlight. Now, I’m not one to pick out clothing with sequins, and if you’re the same - don’t fret! It’s been done in a way that is so subtle and delicate - it’s really very pretty and looks expensive. It also drapes beautifully without sticking to my body, so it doesn’t show off every dimple or bulge. I love the splits on the sides at the hem, allowing me to feel a bit sexy without showing off too much. The hemline provides plenty of coverage in the front and rear, so I don’t feel the need to tug it down. The sleeves are definitely long, but I think it matches the design - with a carefree, flowy, boho feel to it. It’s incredibly stylish and I feel attractive in it, which is saying something! The washing instructions state to wash on a gentle cycle. I would take care not to wash it with anything that might grab onto the fabric, like zippers or bra hooks. It also states it can be dried on low heat, but I think it would be best to hang or lay it flat, mostly because of the tiny sequins. I wouldn't want to risk melting them. That being said, I don't feel this cover-up needs to be handled with extreme care - it isn't so delicate that you will be concerned about wearing it! Just be mindful of the loose weave because it could catch on something as you drift by while feeling subtly glamorous! I definitely recommend this product. In the summers, I live at the pool and beach. I’m always on the lookout for a good coverup. This one caught my eye because of its unique look. I don’t usually wear long-sleeve coverups for fear of getting too hot, but since this one offers a lot of airflow, I decided to give it a try. My first thought when seeing it was I wasn’t a fan of the color. I ordered the beige color which seemed a bit darker than what it looked like in the picture. The color just makes it look dirty/old/worn. The fabric also reminded me of a mesh bandage that you put on wounds. I was not impressed initially. When I tried it on, however, I was impressed how soft and comfortable the fabric was. It is lightweight with lots of airflow. It is also a flattering cut and design. It would definitely be fashionable to wear on the beach. I’m personally not a fan of the beige color, but the cover-up itself is a good product. Word of caution: the side slits go up to the top of the hip, it’s hand wash, and air dry only. Read more

We ordered this crochet cover up mostly for daytime sun activity like beach or pool, for when you're not actually in the water and want something more than a bathing suit on. And it works great as a stylish cover up for that. I will add though that I think this would work wonderfully as an attractive evening shawl to provide a bit of extra warmth, since it's light and thin enough vs. something like a sweater. The fit is large enough for wearing comfortably on top of other outfits. This is a good looking and versatile garment. Recommended. Read more
