I purchased this waterproof mattress protector for our King size mattress which has a 3" memory foam topper and a padded cover. I wasn't too sure it would fit over both covers, but it did so perfectly, providing a snug fit. I had washed and dried the cover prior to putting it on our mattress, and there was no scent to it after doing so. Putting the fitted sheet over the cover was not a problem and the resulting comfort was excellent. I'm very happy with the quality of this protector, the lack of sound when moving it on it, the ease of installation, and the fit. The cover is mid-weight and adds a level of protection that offers peace of mind. My husband fell and has had resulting nerve damage that causes occasional incontinence. I didn't tell him I put this on the mattress and all he said was "the bed feels so comfortable" after I had changed it putting this on in addition to our usual covers. I purchased this BEDLORE mattress protector because I wanted insurance against spills and sweat, but I was worried about it changing the feel of my bed. After sleeping on it for a week, I'm genuinely impressed. Pros: Silence is Golden: This is the biggest selling point. Many waterproof covers crinkle loudly every time you move. This one really is "noiseless" as advertised. The top layer is soft (it has a nice "coin quilt" pattern), and the waterproof TPU layer underneath is quiet. You can't tell it's there once the sheets are on. True Waterproofing: We had a minor spill (water) and it didn't soak through to the mattress at all. The barrier works exactly as it should. Deep Pockets: It fit my 12-inch mattress easily with room to spare. The elastic is strong and tucks under the mattress well, so it doesn't pop off during the night. The description says it fits up to 15 inches, and I believe it. Breathable: I was concerned about sleeping hot since it's waterproof, but the "3D air fabric" seems to do its job. I haven't woken up sweaty or overheated. Safety: It's nice to know it is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, meaning it's free from harmful chemicals. Cons/Care Tips: Drying: Be very careful when washing. You must tumble dry on low heat (or air dry). High heat will ruin the waterproof backing. This adds a little extra time to laundry day, but it's worth it to keep the waterproofing intact. Verdict: This is a high-quality protector that does its job without ruining your sleep comfort. If you are looking for a really basic mattress topper at a good price, this is something to consider. What I like about this the most is that its a nice snug fit, and it stays in place without having to readjust it and tuck it back in every time I change the sheets. It's pretty thin with almost no padding, so if you are looking to add fluff to your bed, choose something else as there is virtually no padding. However, if you already have a pillow top bed and don't want to add more padding, this is a good choice. The product itself washes up just as you'd expect and folds easily into a pretty compact format. I wasn't a big fan of the comfort it provided because it doesn't really do anything more than what my mattress already does, but for peace of mind in case there is a spill on the bed, or the dog accidentally peed on it.... it works great at protecting the mattress! As someone with a medical problem that can sometimes cause swearing at night, I wanted something to protect my new cooling mattress pad. I picked up a protector at the blue big box store, and the thing sounded and felt like I was sleeping on a tarp. I only have one night with the BEDLORE, but it was league's better. I washed it before installing, and dried it 2x on low and gentle. The sides are nice and deep, and it hugs very well over both mattress and 2" foam topper. The pattern is nice and looks/feels like a mattress, and makes a nice barrier over the foam which has perforations in it so that they aren't felt. Time will tell how well it holds up, but its better than nothing and way better than the cheap alternative. Read more
