I’m very happy with this BEDLORE mattress protector. It fits my Queen mattress perfectly, and the deep pocket design easily covers the mattress without slipping or bunching up. The fabric feels soft and breathable, so it doesn’t change the comfort of the bed at all. One of the best things is that it’s completely noiseless — no crinkling sounds when you move at night. The waterproof layer works really well and gives great protection while still allowing airflow. It’s also easy to wash and comes out looking like new after laundering. We've been looking for a mattress protector for our Purple mattress that doesn't make us sweat, fits well, and doesn't make a lot of noise when we move around (we are VERY light sleepers), but we also needed one that would actually hold up if our puppy that we just got has an accident on our bed. After months and months of reading reviews and looking all over online (not even just on Amazon)- and chancing said puppy sleeping with us with no protector- we finally decided to give this one a shot - and we are SO happy we did! I normally sweat when I sleep as it is, which is one reason why we bought the Purple mattress (which we love and recommend so much, after over $20,000 spent on mattresses to find one that suits us, just to be disappointed and wake up sore and almost unable to move sometimes), but the Purple mattress cover that comes with the mattress was just so noisy and held in so much heat, but not this one! This one is soft, comfortable, easy to put on (and stays in place!), and a great value for the money spent on it overall. Use: Elder care. I bought this mattress protector as a last line of defense, as we also use a washable incontinence bed pad atop the sheets. In other words, the waterproof quality of this item hasn't been tested yet and ~fingers crossed~ will never have to be! For the remaining features, I was pleasantly surprised. It looks just like a normal mattress protector. The waterproof layer is totally quiet--no plastic rustle. The top layer of fabric feels soft and cottony, not slick or artificial. There's not a lot of padding, so this is a "function over comfort" mattress pad. The pad fits the queen-sized bed perfectly, and when they say "deep pockets," they mean it! You cannot go wrong when you choose this mattress pad if you have a thick mattress! The all around elastic banding is perfect for the mattress as it helps keep it in place and fits the mattress without rolling or always trying to come off. I chose the gray color which doesn’t make noise, is soft and easy to put on the mattress. It also doesn’t not keep you hot at night and doesn’t affect my fitted cooling sheet. It’s a great value and is of good quality. Some have mentioned smell; the only smell I smelled was a new fabric scent but I washed mine before putting on bed and the new scent was barely noticeable. If you are looking for a really basic mattress topper at a good price, this is something to consider. What I like about this the most is that its a nice snug fit, and it stays in place without having to readjust it and tuck it back in every time I change the sheets. It's pretty thin with almost no padding, so if you are looking to add fluff to your bed, choose something else as there is virtually no padding. However, if you already have a pillow top bed and don't want to add more padding, this is a good choice. The product itself washes up just as you'd expect and folds easily into a pretty compact format. I wasn't a big fan of the comfort it provided because it doesn't really do anything more than what my mattress already does, but for peace of mind in case there is a spill on the bed, or the dog accidentally peed on it.... it works great at protecting the mattress! I purchased this BEDLORE mattress protector because I wanted insurance against spills and sweat, but I was worried about it changing the feel of my bed. After sleeping on it for a week, I'm genuinely impressed. Pros: Silence is Golden: This is the biggest selling point. Many waterproof covers crinkle loudly every time you move. This one really is "noiseless" as advertised. The top layer is soft (it has a nice "coin quilt" pattern), and the waterproof TPU layer underneath is quiet. You can't tell it's there once the sheets are on. True Waterproofing: We had a minor spill (water) and it didn't soak through to the mattress at all. The barrier works exactly as it should. Deep Pockets: It fit my 12-inch mattress easily with room to spare. The elastic is strong and tucks under the mattress well, so it doesn't pop off during the night. The description says it fits up to 15 inches, and I believe it. Breathable: I was concerned about sleeping hot since it's waterproof, but the "3D air fabric" seems to do its job. I haven't woken up sweaty or overheated. Safety: It's nice to know it is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, meaning it's free from harmful chemicals. Cons/Care Tips: Drying: Be very careful when washing. You must tumble dry on low heat (or air dry). High heat will ruin the waterproof backing. This adds a little extra time to laundry day, but it's worth it to keep the waterproofing intact. Verdict: This is a high-quality protector that does its job without ruining your sleep comfort.
