I'm a woman, and I'm not shy to admit that I use this True Grit soap for myself! I love hand-poured, handmade soap for their natural and good-for-the-Earth ingredients. I've gotten my soaps from several brands and natural food stores, so I can say without a doubt that these True Grit are the best that I've ever had! First of all, the scent is nice, clean, and invigorating. Ladies, if you want to try this soap but afraid of smelling like a man, well I'm here to tell you that you need not worry. Right out of the shower, I smell nothing but freshness, with a little bit of outdoorsy, but in a good way. I use the soap all over my body, including my face, and it isn't drying at all. My favorite part is the coffee grinds that is generously sprinkled throughout the bar. It feels slightly scratchy (again, in a good way!) while gliding across the skin, sloughing away dead skin cells. If you have sensitive or delicate skin, then you may find the coffee grinds a bit too abrasive, so just bear that in mind. For me, it's my favorite part of the soap bar. This order contains 3 bars, and I think that it's a great value for your money as long as you take good care of it. Don't leave it sitting in your shower where it can shrink due to constant contact with water. Since each bar came stored in a fabric drawstring bag, I make sure to put the soap back into the back after each use. This has definitely prolonged the life of my soap. The rugged exfoliation and bold scent won’t suit everyone, yet if you need heavy-duty cleaning and don’t mind a pronounced fragrance, it’s worth a try. At this point, I'm a big believer in beef tallow as a natural moisturizer. Both my husband and I use products that contain it. I've also picked up other products from this same wonderful company for my husband to use, as I knew he'd love the John Wayne/cowboy motif, and he can't stop raving about them. That said, these are absolutely wonderful. They came beautifully packaged and presented, along with a handwritten note from the seller, which we appreciated. And they smell incredible. Like, every time I open the cupboard where the extras are stored, this wonderful scent wafts out of there. That alone really makes you want to use them. The soaps themselves are beautiful, too, with a wonderful marbled look to them. They'd make amazing gifts, especially for men who appreciate unique self-care items. They also work really well. They create a really satisfying lather and leave your skin feeling super soft and moisturized. And they appear to last a long time, as well. My husband has been working on one bar for a while now, and there's still plenty of it left. Definitely something I've been pleased to add to our collection of soaps and self-care products!
