I found this the best way to get air moving in the small room by my bathroom. With limited use of my left arm I was able to install this like screwing in a light bulb. Easy. What was even better is that it runs quietly and moves a bunch of air with the 3 speed fan. The light is adjustable as well. Overall I am very pleased with the construction, ease of installation and versatility. It sure beats having to install a ceiling or vent fan in the bathroom not to mention cost savings. The remote is also easy to use allowing 3 fan speeds along with 3 light intensities. The unit is not as aesthetically pleasing as a regular ceiling fan, however given how well it functions and the ease of installation it is worth it. Basically it operates quietly with the only noticeable noise coming from the blade wash of the fan. I give it 5 stars and a very high recommendation. Read more

These are great. We use them in the garage. Had them for awhile now and still work perfectly. The lights are adjustable yet bright. The fan is powerful. Control by remote is useful. Great air movement. Glad we bought these! Read more

I've purchased many socket fan/lights to solve for my tiny, windowless office space (a converted walk-in closet). After about 6 months of using the Bell & Howell "Original Socket Fan" I can say it's a workhorse. Pros: Amazing air flow for a 15" fan - can blow papers off my desk when on high (I have 9 foot ceilings and didn't use the extenders) Nice, bright light when on high Remote is simple, intuitive, and responsive Comes with two extenders to drop down from ceiling or to install in a recessed socket. Quick assembly and installation - blades snap in easily and it just screws into a standard light bulb socket Cons: Expensive compared to some competitors Noisy - while all of the fans I've tried (and there are many) make noise because of their small size, this one has an underlying sound that is more than just the fan blades. It's almost an electronic hum that's a bit high-pitched. electronic hum also present when light is on In summary - GREAT fan/light if you don't have space for a full size ceiling fan and don't mind the electronic hum. Screws right into a light socket instead of being hard wired into a ceiling box. Nice bright, easy on the eyes light color (just don't look directly at it while on high). I plan to move this to the bathroom near our pool where the noise emitted from it won't be an issue. Read more

I have mixed feelings on this product. It's easy to install, the lights are adjustable and will meet or exceed your expectations, and they remember your settings even after turned off by the wall switch. If you have two of these in the same room, your remote operates both of them equally so keep that in mind if you want to control them individually. It can be done if you learn how to aim the remote at the right fan/light to you want different from the other. That being said what's not to like? Don't expect a big air flow from the fans. They are very small and even at their max speeds the air TWO of them move over my stove area on my 10 foot ceilings is minor. It does move some air, but don't expect too much (with 10 foot ceilings). The only other thing is I installed these into two recessed canister light sockets. Unless your mounting fixtures are not loose, you can expect the fans to wobble. My canisters are just tight enough that the wobble is iminium but just be aware if not fairly tight they will wobble during fan operation. The lights alone make them worth while if you want to replace your old kitchen floodlights, even if you don't use the fans. The lights are a WHITE WHITE color so if you're looking for a warmer feel this is not the product for you. Read more

The Bell Howell socket light/fan works well for it's small size. Just hope it lasts a long time. I've only had it for a short time. I actually bought it for the garage. The light is bright enough just hope the fan helps with the heat in the summer Read more

This little fan is pretty powerful. Box includes two extensions, I only needed one for a recessed light socket in the ceiling. Needed some air movement in the kitchen and this did the trick. The light is a cool white, not warm tone if that is what you are looking for. My fav feature is I can have either the light OR the fan running and switch to both if necessary. With three speed/brightness options available at the touch of the remote button. And I can move it to another room if I need to. Read more

Omg, what can’t I say about this cool ceiling fan? We built my son a fully insulated room in the garage — floors, drywall, paint, everything — and installed this fan. It’s fantastic. The fan delivers a super strong gust of air on high without being too loud, and the LED light is dimmable with three brightness levels, which is perfect for different moods and times of day. The remote is mountable and intuitive, making it easy to switch fan speeds or adjust lighting without leaving your seat. Installation was a breeze — literally just screws in. No complicated wiring or confusing instructions; even a novice can set it up without breaking a sweat. It’s well-built, stylish, and functional, combining airflow, lighting, and convenience in one package. Perfect for bedrooms, garages, or any small space that needs a reliable fan and light combo. Bottom line: Strong air, versatile lighting, quiet operation, and effortless installation. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a small but powerful ceiling fan with all the modern features.
