I've seen ads recently for this screw in LED adjustable light. I had one smaller similar light I used in my workshop previously. This B&H High Burst light is way brighter and versatile than the similar light I had. First off, prepare to re-clean whatever area you put this in because you will see dirt and dust you've never noticed-this is stadium light bright. It screws into a standard light socket-that's all there is to installation. There are 3 light levels-full, medium and low which are activated by turning the light off and then back on, no fiddly little buttons to set. Full power is amazingly bright-a blue-ish white that fills the space due to the angled led planes and a ton of LEDs. The LED panels are able to swing up and down so you get some measure of directionality to the light. It appears nicely made-heavy duty wires attach to each LED panel-no scary thin wires here. If you had a large workshop or garage this would be amazing. I tried it in the smaller section of my basement and it was actually too bright for that small space at full power. Medium was more suitable. If you have limited light sockets in a basement, garage, attic or workshop this is the easiest way to get it brightly illuminated with a minimum of installation effort. It sure beats hanging shop lights. The price point makes it a better value than shop lights too-the lumen per $ is less with this light. I originally ordered this light for a garage space, but ended up installing it in my dark walk-in closet — and it completely transformed the space. My closet had one standard bulb that left a lot of shadows, especially in corners and on lower shelves, which sometimes I had to use a flashlight to see what was there. After installing this light, the entire closet is evenly lit and I can actually see all my clothes, shoes, and storage areas clearly. It makes getting dressed so much easier because nothing is hidden in dim spots anymore. Installation was super simple — it screws in like a regular bulb (no tools or wiring). The adjustable panels are the key feature. I angled them outward to spread the light across the whole closet, which eliminated the dark zones I used to have. It’s super bright, my closet now looks like the sun is inside of it, so it’s ideal for utility spaces like closets, garages, laundry rooms, or storage areas rather than living spaces. The panels are lightweight but feel sturdy, and the light comes on instantly. Overall, this ended up being a perfect upgrade for a poorly lit closet. This light is insanely easy to install - literally just like screwing in a lightbulb. It is SO BRIGHT on high. Great for those projects where light and detail is of the utmost importance. The panels are dynamic so directing the light where it is most needed is pretty simple - providing you can reach it easily. With our setup, our garage ceilings are very high so we have to use a ladder to adjust when needed. Adjusting down to medium or low, this light is great for every day usage. Again, we just have to use a ladder or something to reach the light to adjust. Not a huge concern for us, but something to consider before purchasing. Overall - this was an excellent addition to our garage and will be a great help and easy to move when needed in our barns for farm projects. Quality: Excellent quality. Compared to their consumer regular models these are considerably heavier, stronger, and the connecting cables are thicker. Installation: Extremely easy installation just screw into a E26 socket that's secured and reinforced as these have a bit of weight to them. Fit: Fits perfectly in a E26 slot with no modifications needed. Function: These work perfectly giving out more of a more greenish cool white light perfect for laundry rooms and garages. They are not adjustable in anyway except for max brightness and one color. There is a addition of an LED panel in the center of this light that makes no sense to me whatsoever. It's dim and not nearly as bright as the wing panels and literally have no real light value. I question this design decision... Weight: Weighs about 1 lb. and 9.1oz. Some weigh to it so it will matter what socket you install it in. If you use a socket in the ceiling make sure it's secure. Value: Not worth it. I've had their $40 version of this light bought on clearance for $20 back in the day and it's continued to work for 2 years outputting just enough brightness to illuminate an entire garage. The price of $90 a piece you are better off with a strip panel light. In my opinion unless the E26 is a must I would avoid this otherwise. There are better alternatives. If price is not an issue there is definitely a obvious upgrade from the previous consumer generations and would make an excellent light. I recommend this if you are ok with the price. Read more
