Very happy with this. It was larger than I expected but better than too small. I could get a very large chicken or a very small turkey in it. The sides do heat up but I don't have small children so not a problem. The ceramic insert is solid and easycto remove. It could go from the cooker to the table if you wanted as it is a beautiful color. I boughtvthe cream exterior and it looks really nice in my kitchen. This is the perfect size and is able to cook a meal in 4-5 hours while I am at class. It is easy to clean and is sturdy. I have not had any issues with burnt food when using this in the kitchen.
