Makes perfect espresso every time

Erica JoyAugust 4, 2025✓ Verified purchase

I've been using moka pots for my daily espresso for over 10 years and this maker is by far the best moka pot I've ever had. It makes a great cup of coffee every time, just as solid as Bialetti but cheaper. It hasn't leaked, it's quiet, quick (you can have espresso within 2 minutes when using hot water), easy to use, and doesn't spit the coffee at the end of the brew like my other pots have in the past Read more

Great product makes coffee stronger it leak from the bottom rim s a little when I’m pouring somehow but not that big of a deal .if ur looking to make like a full mug of coffee opt for the 4-6 “cup” moka pot not this one this one is perfect for making a good 1 average 6-8oz cup. Read more

Good moka pot.

Good moka pot, does what is needed, the quality and grind of coffee does make all the difference honestly. Take the time to dial in everything with experimentation and you'll have a nice cup. Takes a few tries. The only thing that annoys me is that at the end it sputters a lot and have shot coffee/water outside the vessel so I have to watch it and close the lid. Maybe I'm doing it wrong but I leave the lid open to see when it starts (and thus end soon) so I don't accidentally heat up an empty chamber later and ruin the rubber gasket or something. Read more

Nice pot, but not for me

SusieOctober 29, 2025✓ Verified purchase

I daily use a good espresso machine at home, but since I'll be away from home for 11 days I decided to order this instead of packing my heavy machine. I was disappointed. This pot did not produce as described. It's supposed to make 6 ounces of espresso, yet, the bottom doesn't hold 6 ounces of water. I used my regular, fine ground, espresso, which should have made it too strong & bitter. It was weak. It doesn't hold enough Espresso to produce strong shots. I'll return the 3 cup size and possibly purchase a 6 cup to adjust to my preference, or choose a different type pot. If you don't have anything to compare it to, you'll probably like this pot. But, if you're used to a real good shot of espresso, this won't satisfy you. Read more

For the Best Espresso

RabbiddogNovember 12, 2019✓ Verified purchase

Forget those expensive espresso machines, if you want the best espresso you need to do it the old fashioned way like they do in Italy. I've had this moka pot for 6 months now and I love it (so does my GF). This, along with my electric milk frother, makes some of the best cappuccinos and lattes. So much so I have friends who have gone out and bought one of these as well. The following are a few tips for preparing espresso and also caring for the moka pot. 1. Low and slow. As others have mentioned, you have to brew this on a low flame. I use the second to the lowest flame setting on my stove and it comes out perfect every time. Too high a flame and you may scorch the coffee. Likewise, if the flame extends out past the bottom of the pot, you run the risk of melting the handle. So take your time, let it happen naturally and you'll enjoy a prefect espresso every time. 2. This is a cast aluminum pot. That means it will oxidize (rust). All aluminum will oxidize given time (just like stainless steel will rust under the right conditions), but cast aluminum is even more prone to oxidation. As such, I recommend you do not use any sort of dish soap when washing this. Soaps typically have chemicals and such that can cause the pot to prematurely oxidize. I use hot water and a clean cloth to wipe it out, rinse, then dry it off. That's it. And so far my pot has remained rust free. 3. Coffee. The biggest aspect of making a good espresso, good coffee. Don't skimp on the coffee. Use quality espresso grinds (or beans if you grind your own). This is not a Mr Coffee drip so don't use a drip coffee maker type coffee. It's in the beans, so don't be afraid to spend a little more for a quality espresso grind. 4. If you've never tried it I highly recommend you try a Caffè corretto. That's a standard cup (demitasse) of espresso with a shot (1oz) of Sambuca mixed in. A true Italian espresso. Yum! Read more

Best low fi coffee you'll ever make.

danOctober 24, 2025✓ Verified purchase

I use this every morning to make my coffee. Unlike a giant espresso machine which is a pain in the ass to clean and will inevitably break, this thing is cheap and makes better coffee. DO NOT put in your dishwasher though. It's easy enough to clean by hand. Read more

Inexpensive and easy to use for delicious espresso

Brill BrigadeerJanuary 4, 2018✓ Verified purchase

We started using a Moka pot when traveling around Eastern Europe for the Airbnbs without a good coffeemaker. A Moka pot is perfect: It is very inexpensive, easy and fairly quick to use, and makes a pretty perfect cup of coffee. We have an espresso maker at home but regretted leaving our beloved, $6 Moka pot behind in Hungary so I bought a Bellemain here and it works beautifully on our gas stove. Two warnings: DO NOT put this in the dishwasher. The warning is right there on the instructions which I didn't read because I already knew how to work a Moka pot. So I ruined the look of my pot right after it arrived. (A dishwasher dulls and marks up the sheen and you have to rewash everything else in your dishwasher because it gets aluminum grit all over the place.) The other "warning" is that a 6-cup Moka pot is really like 6 espresso shots (tiny Italian cups) or 1 or 2 regular American cups of coffee. Moka pots make strong espresso, which for me, makes 2 cups w/ cream. It's fun to use, feels very European, and makes a delicious cup of Italian-style coffee if you use high-quality, fine grounds. Dangerous Chemical Fumes When Heated on Electric Stove at Medium Heat

K. PaulDecember 29, 2025✓ Verified purchase

This espresso maker doesn't seem to be compatible with electric/induction stove tops. When we used ours on a medium heat, it smoked and made a terrible plastic/chemical smell that took a day of airing out our house to get rid of. The bottom was badly burned and the unit destroyed. I've owned several of these over my lifetime and never saw anything like it... I've had other models heated with higher temps for longer periods of time with no issues. I hate to think what this burning material did to our lungs. I'm only buying stainless steel with no color coating in the future; the fumes from this one are toxic to humans and pets. Read more
