I've got a few sling bags in my collection, but my go-to 2.5L has been feeling way too small lately. The 4L size was kind of in-between, so I thought I'd finally give the Bellroy Sling 7L a try. Even though it was an international order, shipping was free and it arrived within a week - pretty awesome! This thing is definitely bigger than I expected, which means I can stuff a lot more into it. The magnetic buckle is great and hasn't randomly popped open on me yet. One small gripe though - the zipper pulls are made of this flat leather that might be tough to grab when you're in a hurry. Also, the zipper area doesn't seem totally waterproof, so I'll need to be careful when it rains. Overall, if you're looking for a sling with tons of storage space, this is a solid pick! Read more

I was looking for a lightweight, minimalist sling for travel, and the Bellroy Sling Bag 7L ticked all my boxes. For the flight over, it comfortably fits a Samsung 10.5" Tablet in its case (9.2"x6.3"x0.22", note that iPads have more bezel and a different aspect ratio, so an iPad, iPad Air or iPad Pro 11 will probably not fit), passport, keys, sony headphones and my Anker power bank. Out on the town, it fits a rolled up rain jacket, DJI Osmo 6 phone gimbal, 6.7" phone and wallet with room to spare. Note that Bellroy has also updated the Sling since v1 (pictured in product description) - it now has an improved key carabiner, two extra pouches in the front compartment for organization, and the main compartment zipper is now longer and opens the bag wider for getting larger items in and out. My only gripes are that the magnetic quick release is hard to reach, and the padded compartment is weirdly situated at the back of the case, where fragile items can get crushed against your back. It's a good concept, but the straps are fussy. For example, you have to check and untwist them before everytime you throw the sling on. They are securely sewn on, unlike other bags that have a buckle that can turn 360°. The bag itself is nice that it can expand and tighten flat, but it's long so it kind of hangs awkwardly. It reminds me of a window washers platform that sways across your back. Read more

This is my second Bellroy product, and again, I am very satisfied. The size is perfect and the zippers seem pretty sturdy. I was tired of carrying things in my pocket. It would get extremely uncomfortable moving around with the items in my pocket. I thought about the sling backpack for a long time. The minimalism of the Bellroy is perfect. I was, at first, very hesitant with the Bellroy. However, considering the great quality and experience I've had with my first Bellroy product (backpack), I decided to go for the sling. It's made of recycled material which is great. I'm just curious how Bellroy manages to certify/justify the integrity of the product, especially since it's recycled. To my knowledge, the properties of recycled material is harder to control because it's so wide spec. Also, the price should be much lower considering it's recycled and not prime materials. The media could not be loaded. I was looking for a crossbody/sling to be able to take my camera, lens, portable mic, and action cam. This bag fits my need for that. I didn’t want an oversized luggage type bag for every day carry. The bag itself is lightweight. The strap on the bag is adjustable. You can tighten the strap and just carry by the strap or use it as a crossbody/sling. As my needs change, I know that Bellroy has a dedicated photography bag which has dividers and padding. From what I could find online, it appears this bag is roughly 8.9 liters. Hopefully, Bellroy can add this information in the description for this bag. Read more
