Very cool
This ring is really cool - it tracks most of the same fitness things that my name brand fitness Watch does in a much smaller package. The biggest draw for me was the ability to monitor my sleep and the battery life - my watch is almost dead by the end of the day, so I was having to choose if I wanted to use it during the day for steps or at night for sleep tracking and couldn’t do both. The battery on this is great, and lasts almost a full week before having to charge! Since it doesn’t have a screen obviously it lacks some functionality of a watch and you do have to use the app, but it integrates seamlessly with Apple Health so you can see everything in one place which I love. The sizing was really weird - on the listing it says there are S, M, L, and XL, but then the ring said it was a size 8 with no S/M/etc…. AND it says that the sizes aren’t the same as regular ring sizes?!? So it was a total shot in the dark when I got an 8; luckily it fits! The only downside is that it looks very masculine/chunky - I wish there was a smaller, more feminine version. It’s also really thick, which might bother some people. I’m not as concerned about aesthetics as functionality though, so it doesn’t bother me too much. I do wonder about the accuracy - I have diagnosed chronic tachycardia and my resting heart rate is normally about 115, whereas the ring has said my highest BPM was 109 all week which just doesn’t seem right. So I wouldn’t bet my life on the accuracy, but it is great to get an overall estimate of your vitals and activity level. I think it was definitely worth the money. Read more
