My oldest has the monster truck set and has rocked them for VP, KG, now 1st, so when my youngest started VPK it was a no brainer. This combo pack is amazing!! They're easy to use, leak proof, holds a lot of food, like a whole sandwich cut in half stacked, 8 chicken nuggets, handful of olives, carrots, 1/4 chopped apple, whatever they'll eat. It's easy to clean the insert is top rack dishwasher safe, keeps food warm or cold as needed, the outer case is hand-wash but also easy with a bottle scrubber. They carry them in their back packs with a snack and water bottle so it's light weight for my 4yo 34lb boy. The oldest started using his strap when they walk to the cafeteria. VPK eats in the classroom so they don't need it yet. The carry case is also easy to clean. I've wiped it out and set it to dry on the counter a few times. It doesn't leak. This is our third container as we have had great luck with them and are very busy, being on the run. The container tends to leak when a more runny fruit is added(I.e. raspberries) and not eaten. The container holds all portions in an appropriate size, keeping us at one container per day. The lunch bag itself has been great with a rough six year old using it. Absolutely perfect for our 1st grader and the In Person school scene! The Bentgo lunch box has made it possible to pack fresh food without needing sandwich baggies or extra packaging. Less of a carbon footprint! Every day My kiddo looks forward to what I've put in her lunch and honestly, I've had a blast coming up with new things and ways to make it more special. Knowing I'm doing a little something to help out the environment plus the added health benefits for my already environmentally conscious kiddo, is hugely beneficial in my book.
