First off, I really appreciated that it shipped flat, no curled edges or waiting for it to settle, which made setup super easy. The size is just right for under his desk, giving him enough room to roll around, and it doesn't move out of place, it just stays put. The mat feels solid and well-made. His chair glides over it smoothly without sticking or getting caught like it sometimes does on carpet. It blends in nicely with the room and doesn’t have any designs or textures,it's just clear. Super mat! This is very strong and durable. We have a tile floor and our office chair does not have castors so the legs get caught in the grooves of grout making it difficult to slide the chair on the floor. The mat makes all the difference! Now the chair slides very easily. The mat is a thick material and very sturdy. It comes rolled up in a box so you’ll need to allow time for the curled edges to settle but they do in a day or so. This is a solid chair mat. Nothing like those cheap roll up ones you get at your local office supply store. I highly recommend this mat. It's durable and not going to Crack on you after a few uses. Been using it now for several months at it is just as good as new. My high pile carpet destroys most chair mats within weeks, but not this one. The only thing it could have are longer spikes to dig into the carpet better to anchor itself in place better. It has very short nubs good for a low pile carpet, but not so great for high pile ones, so it slides around some. I have to adjust it about every two weeks. But that is minor considering how well it holds up. Read more
very smooth transition from floor to mat in my chair. It came shipped flat, so I was able to use it immediately which was nice. Good quality material with spikes that don't destroy the carpet. When and if this one get old or worn out, I will be purchasing another one. Read more
Update! There is actually a tough film on top of the mat when shipped and the sticker is on top of it. I couldn't tell that it was actually a protective film and worked a long time at getting the sticker off of it. I was relieved to find out that I had not scrubbed a hole through the actual top layer of the mat. The mat looks and works great! I would recommend better labeling so others don't waste their time (I see another reviewer that went through this hassle as well). This mat seems to work just fine, however it comes with a VERY large sticker that is impossible to remove. It took me 20 minutes to scrape it off, piece by piece, millimeter by millimeter. Then, after I removed it, it left a sticky residue. tried unsuccessfully to wash it off and then tried "goo gone". now the top layer of the plastic is peeling. Not fun Read more
I replaced and upgraded the carpet and pad in my home office, and my current chair mat wasn’t doing me any good, I couldn’t roll my chair even after 2-3 minutes of sitting down. The 1st mat was delivered with a broken corner, it appeared to possibly be a return because it wasn’t packed well and the box was too big. I’m sure all it took was a short drop to fracture a corner off. I requested a replacement through Amazon and the replacement was delivered quicker than the original. It meets my needs and performs well. The only issue I have is that due to the carpet twist, the mat wants to move away from my desk, so every few days I have to move my chair, lift the mat and put it back in place. That is not at all a problem of the mat though. Every mat I’ve had on pile carpet tends to crawl the direction the carpet wants to lay. Just be aware, yours may too. I used it for one week and all of a sudden I hear this big crack, I look down and the map cracked! I am not even 250lbs! This is clearly a poor product and I would recommend look elsewhere for something that's thicker and made of more durable material. Read more
The best thing about this specific mat is that it’s delivered flat instead of rolled up like others. That way it stays flat/straight. It’s the perfect size for under my desk! I was tired of my chair struggling to roll on the carpet, so I finally bought this mat and I’m already so happy with it! I was looking for something kind of narrow because my desk is in a very small space in the corner of my room. If you’re looking for a smaller mat like I was, then this does the job! But if you have a larger work space, then I suggest searching for a larger mat. Read more
