This was exactly what we hoped it would be. Although, when you start it up, it defaulted to the red, white, & blue screen (which is patriotic to me, but annoying to the eyes). I could not find the option in the Setup menu to change it to the black & white setting. That's because it's NOT in the Settings menu! I had to read the included instructions to learn that holding down the Enter button on either the remote or the back of the unit will cycle through the different screens. It's very visible without being obtrusive. Simple to set up. It has a hole on the back to hang from a nail on the wall or it has a little stand you can use. It's very lightweight. I am not using the medicine alarms bc it will freak them out, but I wish I could. You can set up to 10 different alarms, I believe. That's awesome! Only thing I wish it had was a satellite/nuclear clock time update. Also, the photographs give the screen a blue gradient look. As cool as that is, it's not actually how it looks.
