This is a very nice and readable clock - day or night. The wood is real and may be some sort of pressed fiber product but looks great. The light is perfect in the dark - stays on as long as you keep pressing the button. Appears to be made in China by a German company with offices in Berlin and London. Read more

This is a pretty little clock, good for a desk, nightstand or book shelf. I like the white clock face with straight black hands, because I can see it across the room. It's only 3and 3/4 inches high, not counting the knob at the top, but it's big enough for those spaces. Read more

Overall, it's a nice clock and keeps time well. The rounded top is aesthetically pleasing and the flat base makes it more practical for standing. The gold face looks classy on my home desk, but can't read the time when the desk lights are off (sometimes I want to see the time when I'm standing near the desk). If you have low light, I recommend the white face. The button on the top adds a little extra light; however, it's probably designed for keeping the clock on a nightstand near your bed. All the good reviews are spot on. It's so darn cute. And simple, which I love! No need to reinvent the wheel. Pop the battery in, set the hands, good to go! The alarm sound is low, which I like. Personally, I don't even see a need for this to be an alarm clock. The button on top to light it up is was what I was after, so you can see what time it is in the night. The clock is attractive and works nicely except that the alarm hand is off time. I returned the clock and received another but with the same problem. If I set the alarm hand at 6am the alarm will sound around 5:25am. So I have to remember to move the alarm hand ahead, after playing with it a while, to have it sound at the time I'm needing. The alarm is quieter than many I've heard in the past, but I prefer a quiet alarm. Read more
