Good example of form meets function. Simply excellent. Read more
I love this small stove top espresso maker! I have a similar 12 cup stovetop espresso maker, which makes two great mugs of strong coffee each morning for me and my wife. I’ve wanted one half the size of my big one so I can make a single cup for myself in the afternoon. BTW we do use finely ground espresso beans. (I used to grind beans myself, but I tired of that, and we find that La Llave an excellent inexpensive espresso—and it works great with this product.—Just don’t use too much. A little bit of finely ground espresso bean goes a long way.) Read more
I need one that I can also use with my portable induction stove. This is perfect as it can be used on gas stove top and induction. I can keep the bottom clean without any fire burn marks. The design is beautiful and more modern than the traditional ones. Very cute. I bought red one for myself and black one for my son. He like's to use it to make vietnamese iced coffee. Read more
Es muy buen material, me gusta mucho. Read more
Works well with a GE Cafe induction range. The bottom half is stainless steel, the top is aluminum. The upper is the same size and shape as the older "Moka Express" aluminum models, so that you can use the same gaskets, baskets or even entire upper. The aluminum is a thinner gauge than my old Express, and the grounds basket also feel less sturdy. One downside is that since the bottom is round, it's a lot harder to grip to unscrew it than the angular Express models. Read more
We have an induction cooktop and so the regular aluminum Moka's don't work without an induction hob converter, which got too hot and I was afraid it would damage my cook top. This little item has changed my morning routine for the better. Works great on my Frigidaire induction cooktop on smaller burners. Very fast...sturdy, easy to clean. Can't recommend it enough for an induction cooktop. Cheers! Read more
I was eager to try this out since it looked like a dead simple, easy to set up, and easy to clean up way to make coffee, but before I ever used it I found that the combination of the sloppy cast threads in the aluminum upper with the rounded threads in the steel lower made it a huge pain to assemble without crossthreading. I ended up returning it and getting the Venus pot, also from Bialetti, which has fully stainless construction and actually turned out to be a couple dollars cheaper at the time. The Venus, which is exactly the same except for the shape and material of the top section, turned out to be as simple and easy and tasty as I'd hoped, so I've got no problem giving this pot top marks for everything except the poor threads, but at the same time I think it would be silly to buy this specific moka pot when, for a couple bucks more or less, the Venus has clearly superior construction. As a side note, I was unsure when I originally bought this whether it was the same thing as the Bialetti Brikka. It's not; it's got a similar stainless bottom section but the top section is the same as the classic Moka, without the Brikka's little duckbill valve. Read more
