I’ve been using this kit for a few weeks now and the cedar scent is subtle and clean and easy to dispense. The roller’s 0.25mm needles feel gentle and less like torture. I used it twice a week after washing my face, and the serum absorbed without leaving a greasy film or tacky residue. The result was a softer, calmer beard and significantly less itch during that awkward early phase. One side of my beard has always been patchy and while I can’t claim overnight miracles, the combo seems to support a slightly more even look after a few weeks, but not thicker by any means. The quality and durability of the needles seem great, and I make sure to sanitize it before and after each use. Is a Biotin Beard Growth Kit, with a .25mm microneedle roller and a spray bottle with quality ingredients such as castor and jojoba oil for softening and coating, Niacinamide for skin health, and Biotin with Vitamin E for keratin production (strength) and follicle support. Before continuing, Biotin only helps hair growth in those that are actually deficient in Biotin which is rather rare, but these ingredients improve follicle conditions to improve the environment for hair to grow while supporting and strengthening what is already there. That being said, this is a good set. I love that it is a spray application (even though the pictures show a tincture dropper. This makes application much easier, and increases the effectiveness of what you are using as you don't have to try and spread the serum around. The roller is also well done, at .25mm it is perfect for application of the serum as it isn't too long to actually hurt your skin but long enough to create microchannels in your skin. The roller helps your beard grow in 3 main ways: The microneedling triggers a mild wound healing response increasing blood flow and nutrients to follicles, it also creates tiny channels into the skin for better penetration of oils and it stimulates collagen production for a healthier follicle environment. The roller is also well made and durable, so don't worry about it rolling off the handles. There is really no pain, maybe a mild poke... but I find it to be a good / therapeutic feeling that I enjoy. My serum is in the cedar scent, which smells pretty good and is easy to smell when you are up close. In practice, this has made my beard both softer and smoother while smelling good. This is perfect to help combat the itchy scratchy phase of growing your beard in as well as this serum does a good job at keeping your skin moisturized and fights off beard dander really well. I will have to wait and see how well this does at thickening in my beard, but on conditioning alone this is worth it. Overall, this is a great daily set to both improve the conditions for your hair to grow as well as nurturing what is already there. For around ~$25 this is at the very least a great place to start, and has done a good job at improving the quality and feel of my beard, though I haven't used it long enough to see any real thickness improvements. I’m one of those people that loves to crack jokes so people, especially at work, notice everything about me. Mostly because they’re looking for ammunition. I cut my beard all the way off after having it for years and while I felt like I looked like a turtle, only 1 person noticed. I was ready to defend myself that Monday morning and nobody attacked. It doesn’t irritate my skin even though my skin is VERY sensitive. It feels like it softens my hair a little because usually I’d get some ingrown hairs here and there but haven’t. I use it after I shower or wash my face, so thats twice a day. The cedar scent is very light. So far I’m happy with the results.
