Takes 1 watt. Drops to 0 when done. Good torque. A must companion for any man with a drill and screws. Drill the hole, use this for the screw. Much better than any quick release system, and I have them all. The light complaint perplexes me. This thing takes care of itself. Just leave it plugged in. Meter it, I did, it uses exactly 0.000085 watts once charged. That is about 1 penny of wasted power per DECADE. A light would serve only to degrade the battery, waste power, and/or make the device more expensive. There is no memory effect. Plug and unplug at will. It will not damage it!!! Gah.. sorry.. EE major and I have some peeves. ...Do not charge it in a cold garage (unless you do not care to maximize its useful life), do NOT leave it unplugged for weeks and go use it. Do not use it upon arrival, charge it overnight. Or at least charge it for an hour and play with it VERY BRIEFLY if you are a dumb guy like me and want to see it spin, then charge it. LiPo battery cells are DESTROYED by depleting below 3V. Well.. ruined. My only complaints are a lack of side holsters for extra bits, the battery capacity is good but it could be better. (~3 hours with ~45 minutes of that being drilling screws at moderate torque).. oh and they seem to want you to think you have to buy their bits. Lol. No. You do not. This is the best little screwdriver. I use it daily. It holds a charge for a long time. This is my third one. While they have each lasted a long time, the gears do eventually break and make it unusable. Getting harder and harder to find replacement one. Black and Decker needs to improve the design and keep it on the market. Read more

I’m a cable technician and use this little drill all the time. It’s a great little drill and it fits perfect in my tool pouch. It has plenty of torque enough to drive a 3” wood screw. Battery lasts all week as long as I charge it up once a week. I don’t use it all day long but does come in handy for driving cable clips and working wall plates and panels. The only thing I didn’t like THIS TIME is that my drill stopped working after a couple months. As a matter of fact, I’m writing this review on the day my drill stopped working and what do you know I get an email about the product. So.....I really would like my drill replaced with one that works. Usually they last at least a year before they crap out I don’t know what happened with this one. Read more

I had owned a previous version of this for 15 years and loved it. It finally would no longer hold a charge and was disappointed to see it was no longer made. I bought this one as it's replacement and find that it is at least as good if not better. I use this at least as often as I use my 20v DeWalt driver (which I also love!). It is much lighter yet has plenty of torque to drive most smaller screws into most material. I even use it when doing electrical work for everything from cover plates, to the wire screws on outlets and switches. Great for hose clamps along with a hex driver. One downside though, my wife also loves it and I can't always find it when I need it! Read more
