Can I just say that if you need to keep your coffee piping hot while you’re drinking your first couple morning Joe buy a bigger pot. This little 5 cup coffee maker makes two large 12 ounce mugs of coffee. It brews it up piping hot and the flavor is great. For those customers complaining about the taste of their coffee I believe that to be a pilot error rather than the fault of the pot itself. Try different beans grinds or blends until you find something you like, but don’t blame it on the coffee maker itself. The biggest issue people seem to have with this coffee maker is the lack of a warming plate. How long does it take to drink 2 cups of coffee? I myself appreciate, not forgetting to turn it off and scorch it and for those that say that it doesn’t have a shut off, it does stop drawing power after it’s done brewing. So the heating elements do indeed shut off And you’re not wasting any electricity. I live off grid so this is important to me. I use mine with a smart plug and simply tell Alexa to turn on the coffee in the morning and by the time I’m up and have done what I need to do with my dogs my coffee is ready to drink. It’s perfect. What more do you need? I’m very pleased with this and the small amount of room that it takes up on my counter. I bought a second one as a back up just in case I break the carafe, replacing the carafe costs as much as a whole new machine. Read more

Exactly what I was looking for. Low-cost way to make a good cup of brewed coffee. This is not a high-end, sophisticated coffee maker. It does not have a warming plate to keep the pot warm after brewing. You brew your coffee and you drink it. Simple. This machine also DOES NOT HAVE AN AUTOMATIC SHUTOFF. I do not consider the lack of a warming plate or auto-shutoff as negatives. If you need/want these features they are available in many other coffee machine models. They are just not available on this particular model and that is reflected in the lower price. In fact, I didn't want to pay for those types of features, I wanted a basic coffee maker and this is it! I've made many excellent cups of coffee in this machine. I have a separate burr grinder and use good, fresh coffee beans. I have a high-quality automatic espresso machine but it doesn't make "coffee" coffee (Americano's are not the same), so I bought this for those days I just want a 12-14 ounce cup of strong coffee instead of (or in addition to!) an espresso. I almost didn't purchase this due to the bad reviews. However, I took a chance since my 4-cup pot was gasping its last breaths and I wanted a little bit bigger pot. I purchased the 4 in one pot and no there isn't a heated plate, but its small, you pour your cup (giant insulated travel mug) and go. The point of having a smaller pot is you are going to drink it right away, so works for me. The second negative reviews I would like to address are how hot the coffee is: Granted it isn't as scalding burning your throat all the way to your stomach when you forget to sip that first necessary sip as my old Mr Coffee, but it is hot enough that you have to sip. The first pot i made was as hot as I would like because on the coffee pot level, there is air space between the pot and the filter so your hot coffee is falling through the cold kitchen air! (kinda poor design, yes but it is what it is). So, I improvised, I moved the tray up to the 'brew by the cup) level so there was no room between the filter and the pot, I did have to take the lid off and brew without it but no big deal. The filter sits almost just inside the pot then my precious coffee doesn't cool down as it drips (Genius!, well I thought so anyway ;) ) The 4 in one does not have pause and serve but that is fine with me, I brew and go. I don't use the permanent filter which is WAY too small, it fits into my smaller coffee pot filter with room to spare, nope, not using that, I need way more coffee grounds than that thing holds! I put a small filter directly into the basket so I can brew stronger to my liking and it works fine. Overall this is a good little pot, I don't need a heated plate since I pour and run, and its just what I was looking for. Hopes this helps anyone else on the fence about some of the bad reviews. I bought this pot to take on a trip because I hate motel coffee. The pot has no heater to keep the coffee hot. 2nd pot I made into the thermal cup. The lid just sits on top it does not screw on. No threads on cup to do it. Even with it setting on top by the time I went for a refill it was cold. A thermal cup that isn't. Every piece of this pot looks and feels like it will break at any second. I was so mad I didn't even bother packing it back up from the motel. I just left it there for the maid to deal with. I may have been able to return it even used and this in no way means the seller is bad. Just this product. Read more

This coffee maker is decent for its price, but it falls short in a few areas. The coffee flavor lacks the richness and depth you’d expect, and the temperature isn’t as hot as it should be when freshly brewed. Additionally, it tends to leave a noticeable residue at the bottom of the pot, which is disappointing. Pros: it’s easy to clean I’m donating this as soon as I get my order of the Cuisineart 14-cup DCC 3200P1 Coffee maker I purchased for $70. Read more

This does not have a warming plate, but it is ideal for single cup brewing directly into a mug or to go cup, which is the purpose I bought it for. Makes a good, hot cup of joe. Recommended. Read more

No heating pad to keep coffee hot. The filter lets in some grounds if too fine. Overall would not purchase again. Read more
