GREAT coffee maker! Previously had a Cuisinart; hot plate got tired after 5 years. This is wonderful, clear viewing on right for filling water; shiny plastic pot cover cleans off coffee easily to original shine; wonderfully tasting coffee too, every morning! Love the ease of use, and auto turn off after two hours. Smaller than other models, comes in my favorite white, price is half of some of the Cuisinart, and I am loving this wonderful coffee maker. 5 stars, just like the other reviews I read said. Great coffee maker, great price, and great cuppa coffee!!! Read more

After one year of daily use, the BLACK+DECKER CM1160W-1 has proven to be a reliable and well-built coffeemaker. The build quality is excellent for its price range: the materials still feel sturdy, the white and stainless-steel finish looks good, and the carafe remains strong, easy to handle, and completely leak-free. It brews quickly and quietly, which makes it perfect for everyday mornings. The size is compact, so it doesn’t take up much counter space, and the coffee always tastes clean with no plastic smell or strange aftertaste. I don’t really use the programmable features—most of the time, I simply brew my coffee and then unplug the machine once I’m done. Even with this simple routine, the machine has held up perfectly with no issues. Overall, after a full year of consistent use, I can say this is a dependable, efficient coffeemaker with excellent value for the money. Definitely a purchase worth recommending. Read more

I loved this coffee pot as soon as I unboxed it. It was simple, yet elegant. I had always wanted to use the programmable features of being able to set up a time of when my coffee could be brewed in the morning without me, but I always got frustrated over all the buttons needed to press in order to set a simple time. I would get discouraged and instead of messing with it, I would just decide to turn my pot on as soon as I woke up. When I purchased this one I looked for 5 simple things. 1. Was the coffee hot enough when it was brewed. 2. When poured, did the coffee spill all over the place 3. Did it have a clock and did have a programmable feature 4. Was it reliable and sturdy 5. Was the price right After reading almost 90% of the comments, I decided to take a chance on this one. I will tell you, the coffee in my WHITE (I'm not sure about the black) coffee pot comes out extremely hot and I love my coffee to the point of burning. I add a significant amount of creamer and if my coffee is warm, my creamer will make it luke warm and by then, I no longer want to drink it. I have ABSOLUTELY no issues with the temperature of the brewed coffee. Second, The carafe in this coffee pot pours water and coffee efficiently. Every other coffee pot I've owned, water would pour everywhere whenever I filled the water basin up in order to start a pot, but this one is fantastic. I haven't spilled any coffee or water while using this coffee pot. I read multiple comments about this issue and I'm not sure why they would have this problem unless they were in a rush and trying to pour all of the coffee out of the pot at once. Three, The clock and programmable function on this coffee pot are wonderful! Fast, Easy, and reliable. You push a button to program the time and push the hour and minute buttons to finish it. The programmable function, where you can set your coffee pot up the night before and it will start to brew at a specific time in the morning WITHOUT you needing to touch it, is just the BEST feature ever! Its so easy to program, so easy to set up, and it has yet to fail me. I set my coffee pot for 4 am and by 4:20 I'm walking into my kitchen, making my coffee to go and out my door by 4:30. Easy and efficient. Four, reliable and sturdy. As I stated above this coffee pot is VERY reliable, I've had it a little over 2 months and it's never once not functioned as promised. It's never overflowed, I've never had coffee grounds in my coffee, I've never had the stop and pour function release ANY coffee when I've had the coffee stopped mid pour, and my coffee has always been hot. The sturdy part is where I'm just a little disappointed. When my pot first came in the ONLY part I felt could've been improved, was the cheap feel of the carafe. The design is great, as I stated before. The water never drips for me, but the handle seemed weak and the glass was thin. I planned on ordering a second carafe, in the future just in case the handle broke off from my current one, but unfortunately I didn't even get a full three months before it broke. And the way it broke was not how I thought it would. This cold Sunday morning I was pouring myself a cup of newly brewed coffee and I put the carafe against my cold ceramic coffee mug. I usually pour my coffee into a metal travel mug and therefore I never touch the metal to the glass, but this morning was different and I am battling the flu and didn't have much energy to hold the carafe over my cup so I poured it with it against the mug and immediately I heard a crack. At first I thought it was my mug, but upon further inspection I noticed a crack along the lip of my coffee carafe. I was shocked to say the least and of course disappointed. I can't think of any other reason other than temperature change being the culprit. I wasn't pushing up against my mug, I wasn't forcing the lip into the cup, I wasn't forcibly leaning the pot against the rim of the cup, I was simply not holding the carafe away from my mug. I let it touch the cold cup and this I believe may be the reason it cracked. I have put in a request for a replacement carafe and I'm hoping they will be able to help me. My coffee pot is white and it's particularly hard to find white coffee pots, so I hope they have a white replacement part. When I hear back from them I will surely update my review. As for the right price, I couldn't have asked for a better price for a functional coffee pot. All other coffee pots are $40 and beyond and have so many features that most don't use. I am a simple person with simple needs. This pot gave me everything I needed without an outrageous price tag. Even though my carafe cracked, I would still recommend this coffee pot, that's how reliable and efficient it truly is. I will make sure in the future to watch out for temperature changes when it comes to the glass of my carafe. If I wash it and it's cold, I would make sure to warm the glass up with warm water before placing it in the pot to receive hot coffee. If your mornings are cold, pour the coffee over your cup and don't make contact with cold ceramic. I also have granite counter tops, so I would recommend putting a pot holder on your counter before placing your carafe down onto it if you don't plan on putting it back into the pot. Just a few suggestions that I myself will be doing for now on. I hope I helped anyone looking for some info and like I said, I will update you on my interactions regarding my replacement part. **I contacted this seller regarding my replacement and it was such a wonderful transaction that I HAD to make sure to update you. I have now had my NEW carafe for about 3 months after the first one cracked and to be honest, it's Wonderful! The first carafe I got felt weak and I was concerned it would give out and indeed it did. I called the manufacturer searching for a replacement carafe (one I would purchase myself) and they were fabulous. They informed me that there is no replacement carafe for this particular machine, so they would be replacing the WHOLE coffee pot for FREE. I was taken aback by this response and had to double check to make sure I heard correctly. Indeed I did, all I had to do was cut the plug off the old coffee pot and take a picture of the wire and plug. I had to make sure the numbers on the plug were visible in the picture. I double checked the photo and then sent the evidence. I didn't have to deal with shipping costs or long waits or any hassle. It was fast, efficient and absolutely stress free! The best part, I PAID FOR NOTHING! I received a brand new replacement for my cracked and broken carafe. This company was kind, respectful, and on the ball. I hope you try them out, I'm truly impressed and I recommend this coffee pot to anyone! Read more

This is a good basic drip coffee maker. No fanciness to it really, and it makes decent coffee. My old one stopped working and I ordered this the same day. I don’t use it daily and it sits on the shelf of my garage awaiting company. Read more

Needed a new coffee maker quick, read reviews, and chose this one. I am 100% neutral on it, and miss my old Bella that I bought at Hobby Lobby. There is nothing exciting or fancy about this one. The directions say you should unplug it after each use, if you follow this direction, then you must reset the clock and everything you have programmed into it. It feels cheap. It is cheap. You get what you pay for. I hope Hobby Lobby still has the Bella coffee makers. I loved that one, only needed replacing after a carafe breakage. I am making an edit now that I have been using this coffee maker for a short while. I HATE IT. Let me be clear. I have been married for almost 30 years now. My husband and I have always been coffee drinkers. We have bought $500 coffee makers and we have bought $10 ones. We have learned that sometimes expensive doesn't mean better and vise versa. However, this one is by far the worse that we have ever used. It looks cheap, it feels cheap. It overflows, and grinds go everywhere, and clean up is a small nightmare. Some day my coffee feels cold, other days it's just right, but always grinds in the coffee. I wish I saved the box so I could return this horrid thing, but, I didn't, so it's going to the dumps where it belongs. I really am surprised to see that so many people actually like this pathetic excuse of a coffee maker... maybe they never had a real one or are just used to Starbucks coffee? IDK, but I did see that there are some that feel the same as me. I wish I saw their reviews before I ordered this. IT'S AWFUL!!!! Read more
