I bought this black leather tape to prevent a tear on the seat of my wheelchair from worsening and spreading. I followed the directions which included wiping the area before using the tape and using a hair dryer after using the tape. It wasn't in the directions, but I decided to let the tape sit overnight to make sure it was firmly attached. I was very impressed with the results! The tape was too matte to be a perfect match for my wheelchair's leather, but it looks better than the tear or any other household tape I would have used. The texture is smooth and at a distance, you can't even see the repair. The tape cut well with scissors and hasn't shown any sides of wear or movement after two weeks. Great product! Read more

I received it, and applied it to a sofa the next day, following the directions that came with the repair tape. I even used the suggestion it gave of heating it afterwards with the hair dryer for better bonding. It was an easy application (peel & stick) and doesn't look too bad... the color & pattern/grain match fairly well. It seemed to be thick enough to make it durable (you need to cut it with scissors), but not too thick to make it more visible. I just don't know yet how well it works, longevity wise, or if it will eventually start to curl on the edges. But we are happy with this repair kit, and have plenty more unused in the kit, to use at a later date, if needed. I recommend this product. Read more
