this worked perfectly with the brown thread on a horse blanket with two big tears. the horse blanket is really good but one tear was near a buckle strap that is essential. the hook needle worked. the kit has a lot of things a person who sews would know what to do with. i do not but i say it's a great kit with tools that look handy. The quality of this project is good. I used this strong thread and long needles this Christmas for outdoor cranberries and orange slices garlands. It was perfect.
