I received my fan very quickly, but it took me a while to get around to installing it. Once I did install it,I had it in less than a week before the controller quit working. At first, the fan would keep running for 10 seconds or so after shutting off the truck. Then it took 30 seconds or more. After a few days, it wouldn't shut off at all. I found this out the hard way... my battery was practically dead, but the fan was still running. The only way to turn off the fan was by pulling the fuse that powered it. I contacted Amazon for replacement of the controller and I was given all the contact information for the manufacturer to get it replaced myself. David at Flex-A-Lite was very pleasant to deal with and rushed out a new replacement controller. I had it in my hands 3 days after initially contacting him. The replacement works great and I am very happy with how the fan works. It is easy to adjust to exactly where I want it to come on at temperature wise. It keeps the engine running at the temperature I set it at, and I have picked up a little more torque from the engine since it doesn't have to turn the heavy clutch fan assembly anymore. The fan runs at 60% when it first kicks on, but runs at 100% when the truck gets warm enough to need it. You can hear the difference between the speeds, so it's obvious the fan is working as it is designed to. The fan is very easy to install and the brackets they send with it fit perfectly. The fan enclosure feels very solid while being light-weight. I am very happy with this purchase, even with the minor glitch in the beginning. Read more

This is a nice kit for the Gen 3 RAM. The fan fits nicely and works well. They don't tell you beforehand that if you have separate washer and overflow containers you need a different bracket though. That bracket is sold out and unavailable. I just bought the correct container and it fits perfectly. They also don't tell you that when you use the factory bolt for the fan shroud to mount their bracket, the bolt is too long. Add a washer to it. If you don't, tightening the bolt all the way will poke a hole in your radiator. Those two issues aside the fan works great. My truck stays at the operating temperature and doesn't get hot. I'd buy this again for another truck Read more

Worth the money for sure, clean and easy install with some wiring, the controller works very well. Keeps my truck running cool and within temp range that I want. Highly recommended, I noticed a slight increase in gas mileage and the throttle response is better. I have an 04 Ram with the 4.7 , it also gets rid of the shroud in the engine bay freeing up space to work on the truck. I also purchased the 32050 temp sensor, the kit comes with a needle temp sensor that you stick in the radiator, that would be my only complaint on the kit itself. The sensor comes with the thread inserts needed and makes for a more secure and better temp reading. Read more

Fit great! Obviously this is designed to fit a stock OEM radiator, comes with great instruction and aluminum brackets to mount coolant and window washer bottles. I had to make adjustments as I no longer have OEM bottles OR OEM radiator. But you can see it’s slim, and works great. For those of us that don’t have a temp sensor inside the intake manifold there is a heat probe that stabs in near the top hose to register heat. Very well made, sturdy, and cools very well!! 45 day review. The cir-clip failed and the fan is somewhere on the road. If the blades have left the vehicle this the spinning motor shaft does not cool the engine. Paper instructions do not match current version of electronics shipped. Would be nice if they included meanings of the led in a chart along with the trigger and delays. While it does work, in keeping the engine cool… I'm a bit annoyed at having to spend $55 to replace components after less than 45 days of operation. Read more

Works great in my 2003 dodge ram 1500 Hemi 5.7 liter. Feels like more torque and I've verified I'm getting 1.6 mpg better. Kit is easy to install, but taking off the stock fan is tricky. Put two fat bolts (they don't need to thread in just rest in the holes) in the fan clutch pulley. Use those bolts to leverage a box end wrench in the opposite direction of the fan nut. Easy peazy. Again I'm very happy with the fan. Wish I would have done it sooner. Winter is harsh at my 7000' elevation and this makes my truck warm up way faster in the cold. Read more

Works Great, I installed the Flex a lite 183 on my 2007 1500 Mega Cab 4x4 ram with the 5.7 Hemi. So far it is working great, I did a few flex a lite add-ons with the 183, including a the 32050 sensor and 32082 in hose adapter. Read more
