The fan worked outstanding. I drove almost 1000 Miles for Memorial Day weekend to Texas and the fan performed flawless and kept temps cool. Works better than the factory one on my Mercedes ml500 v8. I used the adjustable Mishismoto fan controller which is awesome and easy to set. Also more quiet than factory. Impressed! Update: FYI if you use any fan other that original, your seat heaters and coolant level warning lights no longer work properly. Coolant light stays on and seat heater does not works. These circuits are part of fan controller. Still runs cool though! Read more

Loved this fan. Had cooling issues since I bought my c6. This fan (spliced into the stock fan controller) combined with a mishimoto radiator worked wonders. This fan moves a lot of air yet isn’t annoyingly loud. Would highly recommend Read more

This is an AWESOME fan! It easily outperforms the two crappy fans I upgraded from. I have a 180 thermostat, and it keeps my running temp in South Florida heat with A/C on at 180! It blows so much air, I can feel it blowing out from under the vehicle. You can definitely hear it running... but it's not too loud. One thing that makes this perform so well is the large shroud... and a super powerful and efficient fan that pulls over a larger area of the radiator. The mounting brackets are not shown... but they are excellent also! They can be mounted on any of the four sides, and can easily be modified to fit just about anything! I wired this fan thru a bosch type relay and a cheap Imperial adjustable thermostat. I have the relay triggered by... both the thermostat (comes on at any adjustable temp)... and by the A/C switch (fan comes on full time with A/C on). They are diode isolated, so if the A/C is not running... the fan remains off until the thermostat reaches selected temperature. Of course, you could just supply full time ignition power (through a relay) so it's always on with key. This fan may cost a little more than the cheap crap out there... but the quality and performance of the Flex-a-Lite 188 is well worth every dollar! Read more

Item was easy to install. It is very imperative the placement of the fan sensor (add on piping tends to change temp. of metal) I purchased a sensor that matched the thermostat opening. Both work at 195. Read more

This thing moves some air! I didn’t do enough research on it and during the install found out it is too deep to use with a Vortech supercharger and aftermarket performance fan setup. No clearance to the crank/supercharger pulley. I did get it to fit after removing my A/C condenser and moving the radiator forward. If your car over heats with this fan, then you have other issues. It kept the 5.2l V8 in my grand cherokee on the hotter side of an acceptable temperature right up until it failed while i was in a drive through. My jeep started overheating out of nowhere and the upper radiator hose stem broke off the radiator and dumped fluid all over the drive through. When i started my diagnosis i found that my fan would not turn on. As of right now i don't know if the fan or fan controller failed. But since i bought them both together from Flex-a-lite, I'm leaving this review. Read more
